I've been wondering if it is possible to download popular posts. I visit these sites and look for popular downloads from time to time, and I've been always wondering if there is any tool to automate this process.It would be great if it can be added.

You can simulate downloading the most popular posts for a day by using the search date:2015-11-26 order:score.

As for other frequencies (weekly / monthly) I don't think it's currently feasible, but I guess it could be added.

It would be great to support search queries like all image uploaded since date x. Or within date range.

date:2017-12-15-2017-12-07
date:>=2017-12-07

That's already the case for Danbooru-based boards:

On Gelbooru ones, you can use IDs:
https://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=help&topic=cheatsheet

There's also post-filtering by date (better limit it to lower bounds however).
