Massive Amount of Photo Library - Batch operation for folders and albums? #4120

This works for me. Which browser and what version do you use? What are the exact steps you take? Do you change any filters, for example? Are you using the browser history buttons or another method? Also, folders are automatically created as "folder" albums so you can browse them: Why do you think it's better to use the "upload" feature instead of indexing your folders, and why do you think clicking the "favorites" button helps? |

I might be hijacking this thread but it adds up to batch operations topic. How would we go about approving large number of photos that are under "Review" tab? When trying to approve using the webui I can select 1000 photos at a time but when looking through the live log, it appears PhotoPrism is taking about 3 seconds per photo approval. See output below. Is there a command line option for it?

I am in the process of migrating my meticulously organized Photo Library from Jellyfin to Photoprism. This library consists of approximately 160,000 photos spread across over 2,700 albums. The indexing process alone is consuming a full week of my time.
All the albums in my library are well-organized according to their folder names. This allows me to easily browse images via the 'library/folders' interface, leaving the 'Album' field empty.
Initially, everything seemed fine. However, I soon discovered a discrepancy in the way Photoprism organizes albums. When I upload images using the Photoprism app, they are automatically organized by date into the '/photoprism/originals' directory, the same location as my original library. Moreover, the album titles are displayed in the 'Album' section, where previously there were none.
In essence, Photoprism's album organization differs from that of my original library. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a batch processing method to convert folders into albums. The only available option seems to be selecting each folder individually and clicking the 'Favorites' button, a process that needs to be repeated over 2,700 times.
If I opt to utilize Photoprism's 'Upload' feature, I am faced with days of repetitive work. Compounding the issue, Photoprism's use of infinite scrolling makes it impossible for me to track my progress accurately.
Given these challenges, I am left with two less-than-ideal options: persist with the laborious migration process or revert to managing my original folders manually on my disk and refreshing the index manually.
Both alternatives are considerably more cumbersome compared to Jellyfin's album management.
Is there any way to streamline this process and improve efficiency?
