SEO Week

Hi everyone, long time 🙂

Before we start, DevFest.ai is looking for two more silver sponsors (it doesn’t have to be AI companies). If you want to get some stars during Hacktoberfest, let me know.

We can crack SEO

SEO is built on two main things:

  • Writing blog posts on your website

  • Get links to your blog from other websites.

The whole process of SEO is pretty simple with simple B2B companies.
You can find many news websites, such as apnews.com and techbullion.com, and write guest posts for them and link them back to you (usually costs $50-$250).

The more backlinks you get, the higher your Domain Authority will get.
The higher your domain authority will get, there are more chances you have to rank higher over the SERP (Search Engine Results Pages)

However, there is a big problem with this technique.

Looking at the matured websites, they have a low Authority Score

OSS Founders don’t really know how to get backlinks, but they do write a lot of blogs. And I get that. It’s hard to get links when you are a developer-first company.

Also, having guest posts in nonrelevant blogs won’t contribute to your topical authority.

So, as a newsletter aggregator with tons of open-source, I think I can help you all.

Starting SEO week (in two weeks from now)

SEO Week

Next week, prepare three guest posts and write them over Notion (don’t publish them anywhere). Two weeks from now, we will open a unique channel on Discord.

You can share your three articles, your startup type, and your domain authority.

Then, you will be able to exchange it with other founders and exponentially increase your domain authority (and might even get some traffic from their blog).

What to write about?

Here you need to do some SEO research with software like SEMRush and Ahrefs.

You can link from articles to your main website - Google will punish you.

Here is what you need to do:

  • Check which current articles you have ranked somewhere on Google and if you would like them to rank higher for “keyword.”

  • Write another article on that subject and link the “keyword” to your leading article (that’s your guest post)

  • Exchange the post with another Gitroom member (don’t exchange immediately) and put a little gap between postings.

If you are unsure how to research that, please schedule a meeting with me here.

See you in two weeks!
