I'm not in the mood for anything at the moment, so I figured reading something free was in order.

First things first, the writing is not great. Nor is the editing. But, free book.

From here on out, I'm telling pretty much the entire story. So don't read on if you ever intend on reading this unmitigated drivel (that I could not put down!). I did promise I'd read it so you don't have to.

Sienna is a Cali girl, studying fashion or summat in London. She left her boyfriend, confidant, and best friend of many many years, Kyle at home.

Said boyfriend, confidant, best friend of many many years cheats on her.

So, of course she flies directly back to LA, because, reasons.

Then she bones him at a party. With his new g/f in the next room. But it changes nothing for him, so she slinks home. So sad.

Did I mention she is stacked, and gorgeoussssss? Because of course.

Upon her arrival, her new best friend - also gorgeous and billionaire CEO - Blake, is waiting for her, scolding her irresponsibility for fucking her ex. Fair. By the end of the day, he has professed his love for her 'I've been a patient man' blah blah blah. And she is getting at his goodies.

BTW, the sex scenes are actually pretty hot. Unrealistic, but hot like fiyah.

All looks good going ahead, because rebounds always work.

But then, Kyle's mother is in Sienna's kitchen, and has decided to move her son to London to be closer to Sienna as he has gone off the rails since they last boned. Totally good idea to saddle your son's ex-g/f with your off the rails son ¯\_(''/)_/¯

Blake: 'This is fucked, I'm out'. Totally fair.

Sienna: 'So sad. But, okay'.

Kyle: 'let's go party with your friends and that dude that just dumped you because of me'.

Sienna: 'seems like a legit good plan'.

Blake:'find me some ladies so I can make you feel like shit'.

It goes on like this for some time.

Then, Blake caves, still loves Sienna (whyyyyyyy?! she's an idiot!). More sexy times. But, Blake travels a lot for business, and of course has a fiiiine assistant.

Jealousy, jealousy, jealousy.

Fine assistant: 'You know he's engaged, right?'

Sienna: 'Oh hells no!"

Blake: 'Welllllll......'

Sienna:'Fuck this shit, I'm going back to LA'

Kyle:'I'll take you'

Blake: 'You can't! I love you! Here, take this, I will marry you! Yes! Don'e EVEN worry about that other gal. Best idea ever! 10 points to me' *hands over huge canary diamond ring'

Sienna: 'No. Fuck off'

Kyle: 'Are you sure you shouldn't give it a try with him? I mean, I know I've been trying to break you guys up, but obviously you're into him, soooooo.'

Me: 'Wait, what?'

End.

Stay tuned for my review of book II

★★★★ 1/2! Chasing series, Prelude & book 1 (of 3). One girl, two handsome, dark, sexy, rich alpha males and one heck of a rollercoaster ride.

This series should be read in order and if you don’t like cliffhangers hold off until the release of book 3 later this year.

Heroine - Sienna Richards: 20 years old/fashion school student/American-Brazilian/long dark hair/green-amber eyes/5’2”
Hero 1 – Kyle Matthews: 20 years old/student-intern at father’s record label/$$$/American/dark hair/hazel eyes/tall
Hero 2 – Blake Knightly: 24 years old/business student-mogul heir/$$$$/British-Italian/Black hair/navy eyes rimmed with silver and flecks of gold/6’3”

Story is mostly told from Sienna’s POV, but every once in a while we will get to read Blake’s and Kyle’s POV.

Sienna was orphaned by age seven and ended up living with her aunt’s family next door to Kyle. They soon became best friends and had started dating two years prior. Due to her unhappy and abusive upbringing she decides to move to London to attend Fashion School (majoring in Fashion Marketing). She leaves Kyle behind, but they maintain a long-distance relationship. In London she meets Blake. Though they both feel an attraction to each other, Sienna is not available so they settle for a friendship and Blake continues his playboy ways. When Kyle cheats and dumps Sienna, Blake lets her know he wants to explore a relationship, but not until she is over Kyle. But then Kyle suffers a breakdown and to recuperate his parents send him to London to be near Sienna, his friend. And so the drama begins (continues) – Sienna’s past and present come together as Kyle and Blake both vie for her love. Brace yourself for a rollercoaster ride because Sienna indecisiveness and unforeseen circumstances keep this love triangle going!

“When I met Kyle, the boy next door, he became my solace, my protector and my friend.”

“Blake’s kind of man who knows what he wants and doesn’t hesitate to get it— and he could be utterly ruthless.

I am team Blake Knightly!!! I mean how I could I not be? Handsome dark looks, hypnotizing eyes, killer body (!), ultra-rich mogul in training to take over his grandfather’s empire, a playboy and oh, add that British accent (Sienna=Poppet). He is in control, dominant, possessive and very much an alpha male. And he wants her! Here is how Sienna sees him (described in book 1):
 photo 19_zps3bf5120e.jpg

Blake: “I knew then if I didn’t possess her, I would be haunted by her forever.”

Kyle Matthews is also a great hero… He is handsome, leaner than Blake, more of a surfer body. He’s rich, his father owns M.A.T.T. Music. He is passionate and possessive. He has been a great friend and rescuer to Sienna. He is her first love. He truly loves her! But he is very immature; so far he has cheated on Sienna, dumped her, seduced her then dumped her again… Then mom and dad to the rescue shipping him off to London. Now, my opinion is based on him in prelude and book 1 – he still have time to redeem himself I suppose…

Kyle: “I hate feeling like this. This uncontrollable passion I have with her. I feel powerless against it.”

Issues:
Sienna was at times annoying which is often the case when paired with a hot alpha male – make that two. By description she is sheer beauty, with her half Brazilian decent and luscious body, and while everyone keeps complimenting her she remains oblivious (mostly in the beginning). For me her “modesty” and insecurities became redundant. I get that they stem from abuse, but for me it was overdone…

There is editing needed! I haven’t deducted any points from my rating, but I am strongly recommending it to please future readers.

Then of course I wish she would make up her mind, but I cannot hold that against her because there would not be a series if she did = )

Back to the positives:
For me the story was off to a slower start, but once I got past Sienna’s “insecurities” and everyone was gathered in London the story took a life of its own.

My reading is almost exclusively hero driven and Blake was smoking hot! He was enough for me to keep on reading. As a matter of fact I could read 4 books just about him (sigh!). Add to that the love triangle, interesting side characters and endless drama and you’ll get one hell of a ride. Overall it was an excellent read with promise of becoming a memorable series.

Who will Sienna choose? Brace yourself for shocking cliffhangers! And be prepared to have to read book 3 to get your answer…

”With Blake, I feel something— different. He evokes something profound within me. This is the intense part that I get scared about. He’s too much and Kyle is familiar.”

Book 3 is due this year and though I look forward to reading book 2 (book 1 ended in a cliffhanger!!!), I am leaning towards holding off until series is complete. That is only a personal preference of mine – I enjoy sitting down for an extended read and getting my HEA.

ugh, this book is rubbish. Absolute rubbish.

I have some advice for Pamela Ann, and since all of you here can seem to look past the thing that copy editors and major publishing houses cannot, I would like to illuminate the huge issues with this book:

1) there's this thing called voice, it is important in your writing. If you're going to write from your one character, Sienna's point of view, use it through the whole story. Don't give us one chapter from Kyle's perspective, a bunch of sienna chapters, and then one from Blake towards the end. It was ridiculous. It would have worked if the following had happened: Either there were more chapters/passages happened where Kyle or Blake narrated their scenes, or the tone in the writing changed. What i heard in my head when I read the Kyle chapter, and the Blake chapter was the insane, insipid whining inner monologue I had to endure from Sienna through the rest of the book. They sounded exactly the same. Many writers struggle with this, so that's why you don't see a lot of people write first person perspective from many different points of view.

2) Sienna and Blake are bipolar. There is nothing even remotely healthy mentally with their relationship, or how they interact with each other. One minute, there is undying love professed, and the next some whore is sitting on his lap, and i'm getting whip-lash trying to keep up with exactly what the heck is going on. There seems to be no pauses, no breaks where either character actually thinks for five minutes about how their actions affect the other person.

3) Facts that shouldn't hold up in real life, which make this story completely unlikable and unbelievable: Kyle's drug issue, he should have gotten help. Period. No concerned parent of a 20 something allows their kid that is messed up on hardcore drugs to move to ANOTHER COUNTRY to be looked over by his ex girlfriend so he doesn't get high again. (also, this was such a big deal for a while, and then poof, he's fine, no big deal. That's not how it works. If it was a big enough deal for his parents to worry, Sienna should have been worried too.)

The only thing Pamela Ann does well in this book is write sex scenes, and while they are hot, Pamela Ann seems to be channeling her inner E.L. James, and trying to make Blake into a Christian Grey, and failing miserably. Its like I was reading two books, one written by a ninth grader just figuring out how to plot a novel, and then an erotic blog off a porn site. I pray this author gets better in time, and maybe she will pick up a few style guides so she knows how to write for her audiences in the future, but I won't be around to see it.

Horrible, just absolutely,100% horrible.

Okay....um...honestly, I don't even know what to say about this book...I'm sort of speechless and not in a good way. I don't think I've ever read anything where the writing has been so bad. I really don't want to sit here and bash this book, though, because it's kind of a rather sad situation. The grammar, punctuation, everything was just so awful-incomplete sentences, switching from past to present tense in ONE SENTENCE. I understand that it's self-published but couldn't the author have at least had a friend or two proof-read before putting it up on Amazon? The whole thing made me want to get out a red pen and start marking it up. I did finish it because I was just sort of in awe of how bad it was-kind of like not being able to look away from a train wreck. It ended with a bit of a cliffhanger and strangely enough I find myself actually wanting to know what happens. I think I need my head examined but I'll probably pick up the next one....I don't know what I'm thinking....

my mind is getting crazzyy with all the DRAMA & HOT MEN!!!

I think Sienna is absolutely stunning but she has to make up her mind who she really wants! all this love triangle is really making me crazy haha!

(referring to Blake) there was no doubt in my mind that he will take everything - he'll consume me with no concession - Sienna

2 hot men = Kyle & Blake, crazy over Sienna :)) the drama is super intense and the jealousy and possiveness is just overwhelming!

I am at loss for words, but everything is a roller coaster ride of emotions :))

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for you my sweet, Sienna. I've always wanted you - from the moment our eyes met. I wanted you, badly - but you were with someone else. I've been patient - biding time - until you're free. And so here we are." - Blake (ohhh HOTNESS!!! please give me a FAN!!! I need some AIR!! :)

"Alright, my lovely Sienna. I've waited for eight months, I can wait a little more. I'll wait until you are ready. But I want to make something clear; I just don't want you for your body... when you're mine - I want your all - your body, your soul, your mind - I will consume you - I'll be your world and in return, I'll worship the ground you walk on and make you a very happy woman." - Blake (aahhh! hyperventilation of cheesiness >,< I love BLAKEEE!!!

Every scene is just scorching HOT!!! NO JOKE!!!

We were on fire. I felt his need, his frustration, his want, his desire from his blazing kisses. - Sienna

"I promise that I will always be honest and never lie to you. From now on - I will protect you as my own - you're mine now, no harm will come to you." - Blake

Uhh yes Blake please protect me hahaha :) I'm melting again :) I love this book sooo soo much :) Intense passion and lovemaking intertwined! I'm a certified romance novel addict! I admit!

I don't typically leave reviews that I would say are horrible. I leave reviews based on what I think the author did right and wrong. This book, however, was seriously disappointing. At first glance, the cover is seriously deceiving. Sienna is suppose to be thicker in the hips, brazilian or something of that nature, and yet the girl on the cover could pass as a Victoria's Secrets model. Highly unbelievable.

On top of that, the story moved way too fast and was so unbelievable I found myself rolling my eyes on more than one occasion. Not to dash the dreams of girls everywhere, but the real world does not work like it does in this book. Maybe in some people's lives, but not normal every day people, which is how Sienna is described.

And aside from the story being unbelievable and the cover drawing you in when the story does not match, this book was not well written, jumped around a lot, and was a 50 Shades of Grey wanna-be. And I disliked 50 Shades of Grey. The concept could have been a good one but was poorly executed and I would hope for better in the second book.

One star, and that was pushing it.

This book was an emotional roller coaster, but I liked it. It is labeled as a love triangle which in my opinion can be very tricky to write and only a few authors can really do it well. Pamela Ann did a good job.

First let me introduce you to Sienna Richards. She is from LA, but has decided to go to college (uni) in London. Sienna’s parents died when she was young and she was taken in by her aunt and uncle who made her life hell. Even after her “not so happy” childhood, she turned out to be a very happy and good person. Sienna had a childhood friend, Kyle, who later became Sienna’s first love, first boyfriend, first everything. When Kyle cheated and broke Sienna’s heart when she moved to London, Sienna never thought she would survive.
While her time in London, Sienna made some good friends. Among them, was the hot, sexy, and rich Blake Knightly.

Blake and Sienna were best friends, but when Blake found out that Sienna and Kyle were no more, he felt it was his time to tell her how he felt.

One think I found refreshing in this story is that Blake is a gorgeous, rich bad boy, but he does not have with a twisted past. He has some issues and not everything was perfect in his childhood, but he does not have any dark secrets. I liked that this couple were friends and opened up to each other early in the relationship.

Even though this book is about 2 men who are in Sienna’s life, it did not feel like a typical love triangle. The book, in my opinion, was not Sienna contemplating “who should I choose?” She knew what she wanted, but could she have it and would it cost her heart.

Sienna, I liked her a lot, but she made some dumb decisions that I swear, I wanted to kick her. How could she not think that certain situations or things she agreed to would not make a man jealous? I wanted to ask her several times “how would you feel if he did that to you?” Nonetheless, she did not bug me like some other heroines have a tendency of doing.
I liked her even though I just wanted to smack her sometimes.

The excess amount of immaturity from both a Sienna and one of the male characters (I do not want to give anything away), I could have done without. I would love to chat with someone after they have read this book to talk about some of those scenes.

The book is mostly in Sienna’s POV, but the reader get one chapter of Kyle’s POV and a chapter from Blake’s POV and both of those chapters came just when the reader needs them. Great writing.

The sex scenes in the book were hot and steamy. Loved them!!

Did I skim? No. I had to stop at some points in the book since I was nervous of what was going to happen.

Did I feel connected to the characters? Yes. All of them.

Pace of the story: The plot was at a good pace that allowed the characters to grow at what was happening in the story.

Do I look forward to the sequel? Yes

Positives: I am glad this was not like a typical love triangle where the girl can’t decide which one she wants.

Negatives: Okay, I am going to say this because it really bugs me in books…unprotected sex. It does not bother me when I know the couple is in the a monogamous relationship and they have talked about the type of protection they will be using.

Do I recommend? Yes

DWL at the absurdity that is this book. I was even more surprised that it has prequels and sequels. The reason I can laugh though, is because this was a free Amazon book, but if I had paid for this, I would have been pissed. But then again, the only reason I started reading it was because it was free ... so whatever!

Anyways, first and foremost, this is NOT a love, triangle, square, octagon or any other shape. It is two adults with trust issues and juvenile tendencies who are trying to make a relationship work. I am naturally curious so I am fighting tooth and nails not to finish this series, but my OCD for completion might win, but not anytime soon. I need a few good dose of a good book first.

Anyhoo, once again, not a love triangle. Just some hot guys and a breathing female who notices even though she has and kept a choice throughout the novel. The ex-boyfriend/best friend reverted back to best friend material with a crush that she didn't pay an ounce of mind and the really good friend turned into a scheming, conniving liar whose solution for all their problems is quite ludicrous!

I got annoyed of being in Sienna's mind all the time and wanted some more conversations, preferably good ones with meanings and aim. Some wit, banter and humor would be lovely also. This story was too plain and annoying quite frankly.

Latin blood seems to run in the author's veins, because from language to descriptions, we got a Latin feel from this novel. The only English we got was location and accents. Not that I am complaining, but the cover girl leans a little Asian, then again, it doesn't matter because at the end of the day, this was an uninspiring story.

Blake was my pick initially, when I thought there was going to be a triangle. I even commended him for not being one of those guys who let women hold them by their shirt collar while they explore the prospects of another relationship. Actually, I down right applauded him. Then before I know it, he started going Dr Jekyll/Mr. Hyde and doing the most asinine and juvenile things. Invoking jealously unnecessarily is just plain stupid and the fact that she is so easily riled that he knew he could stoop to that level was even more annoying.

Honestly, the ex boyfriend is starting to look like my favorite character now and it has nothing to do with wanting her. I swear he should find someone else and get away from this loon that is Sienna.
He was a straight up character from beginning to end and seem to be the only sane and rational one of this click that he isn't even apart of. He messed up, but maybe it was for the best, because there are like what ... 50/51 states in the U.S. (Hawaii included) ... I am at a loss as to how you fly across and Ocean to go college to get away from an abusive surrogate family leaving behind a guy that loves you with his whole world. Selfish, selfish girl all the way around! You can do better Kyle!

I'm not a make up kind of girl, so excuse me, but the basic make-up regiment that was in this book got old fast. Spend the time writing a better book I say, and focus on the characters, building personality and I don't know, a STORY! As oppose to how much mascara she is putting on and where.

I felt no romantic connection between her and any of the guys ... maybe Troy, but then again that was a very sexual shoot. It seemed that shoot was one of the finer things of this novel, as I loved how deep in description we went, and that painted a good picture of the portraits. Honestly, even a better picture than the characters themselves.

Another book that is incapable of making a female have a really good friend who is a guy without him being gay, but I won't hold the lack of originality against the author, as she has enough faults in the novel.
Speaking of, I am not sure what is up with Lucy and Toby. I think Toby spoke probably 3 times the entire book and Lucy was practically MIA as a bestie ... most of the roles were blurred and not what was portrayed by the female lead. I think she was confused as to who is what to her.

I felt no fight, fire or remorse with Sienna's character. I even stopped reading after a while in the middle of a sex scene to watch couple Lifetime movies and believe me, I am not that much of a Lifetime fan -_-

Speaking of sex, not a lot, but more than this book needed. They should have been focusing on building a story with elements, layers ... I don't know, LIFE! ... Anything. I was not impressed and felt that this story was a total and complete bust that needs to go back to the drawing board. Thank God for OCD tendencies, because if not, I would not pick up a next book in this series. I am not looking for improvement, I just really can't even bother to expect better at this point as I am not looking forward to going back into the mind of Sienna Richards (I think ... re: the last name) oh well!

I "purchased" this book as a Kindle freebe and finally sat down to read it. This is a One Day read. I could not put it down. My heart did palpitate in a couple of chapters when you knew something bad was going to happen - and it did but I didn't predict it going there - the author went with plan B instead of plan A. Dammmmnnnn Guuurlll!

It does have the obnoxious love triangle. Two men vying for the attention of a curvaceous, fun loving, sweet gal. She of course doesn't see herself that way because of the verbal and physical abuse she endured when she was young at her Aunt and Uncles hands. The first guy, her childhood sweetheart (Kyle) cheats on her and then we have the mega-bazillionaire (Blake)waiting at the wings to sweep her off her feet only to crush her later - BIG TIME. hence plan B from above - didn't see that one coming...

The sequel to Chasing Beautiful, Chasing Imperfection
is up on Amazon now - so of course I had to download it so I can see what happens next.

I actually think this deserves one star, but I finished it, so to make myself feel better it's getting two. I found myself confused more often than not...the main character is shallow and loves to dress like a hooker, then wonder why guys flirt with her...the writing left a lot to be desired, I in no way, shape, or form created an interest in these characters and I couldn't care less what happens to them...It was clipped from one scene to the next not allowing anything to flow together naturally. Things were overly explained and repeated...the banter between the friends was strained and awkward, in places that something funny was supposed to have been said, I was like, what was even funny? I hate to give a negative review, but this story could have been much, much better.

The story:
Sienna is a student who's lost her family and is a student studying abroad in England. She meets Blake (sex on legs….mmmm,mmm.) a friend of her roommate's boyfriend and they become close. They have a lot in common and she finds him attractive, but she has a long distance boyfriend in America and he is hardly the relationship type. She is happy with how things are. Until she gets a call from her boyfriend Kyle who informs her that he has been lonely while she's been gone so he's breaking up with her. Oh, and to assuage his lonlieness, he's already been cheating on her. After a disastrous last visit to America where she sees Kyle, she is determined that he is out of her life for good and she is ready to move on. Suddenly her current friend status with Blake is on shaky ground. He's had feeling for her all along and starts to bombard her with sexual tension and temptation to take things to another level.

He moved towards me. His tanned rippling body glistened with water was in my line of view. My eyes examined his abs, slowly making my way to his hardened chest, his broad shoulders, his neck, his enticing lips until my eyes stopped to his burning silver-rimmed midnight blue eyes. The air was charging, electric and perfervid. Looking up to his face, I was stunned in place. He was so tall and all-male. I gasped, as he traced his thumb over my bottom lip, his eyes darkened. “You look like a goddess—exquisite and beautiful,” he rasped out as the back of his finger gently stroked my neck and collarbone with utter thorough concentration. I shuddered from his delicate touch. “You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for you, my sweet, Sienna,” I drew breath and slightly wetted my dry lips. “I’ve always wanted you—from the moment our eyes met. I wanted you, badly—but you were with someone else. I’ve been patient—biding time—until you’re free. And so here we are.”

But he doesn't just want casual sex, he wants it all.

“Alright, my lovely Sienna. I’ve waited for eight months, I can wait a little more. I’ll wait until you are ready. But I want to make something clear; I just don’t you for your body… when you’re mine— I want your all—your body, your soul, your mind—I will consume you—I’ll be your world and in return, I’ll worship the ground you walk on and make you a very happy woman,” he spoke with strongly  decisive and determined voice without his eyes leaving mine. He wants me. Blake Knightly. Wants. Me. I’m excited, but at the same time, I wanted to run to the hills.

Just when things start to seriously combust between these two, her ex Kyle decides to move to England and make an attempt to situate himself back in her life and heart. This does not go over well with Blake who is Uber possessive and jealous of their past relationship. As if that wasn't enough, there is another man Troy who Sienna does a sexy photoshoot with for her photographer friend who is smoking HOT. That photoshoot had me sweating. Oh. Dear. Lord. There is some possibility of something more developing with him in book 2 I think. Who knows.

I felt I had to write a proper review on this one because I started reading the reviews it received and was a little flabbergasted. This book has been torn apart and annihilated because of it's grammar/spelling and it's ending.
First of all as far as the grammar and spelling inaccuracies, let me point out one obvious fact: this is and indie, self-published book and with these this is to be EXPECTED. Yes it's a little frustrating to have to skim over certain words or rephrase things in your head, but if you want perfect and precise editing then don't read self-pub books! Books are meant to be read for the love of the story and the feelings evoked from the overall experience. This book has so many amazing things, I can easily overlook this pesky problem.
Second issue: the ending. Dear Lord, can anyone bother to look at the title of the book on it's Goodreads page? Title: Chasing beautiful

(Chasing #1)

Look in the parenthesis, people. #1….translation, this story continues in another book. Relax! These books always end in a cliffhanger. Sheesh.

In my opinion, there are two types of books in the romance genre: books that are sexy because of excellent sexual tension and books that are sexy because of the explicit sex scenes themselves. Rarely are both blended so well as they are in this book. It contains multiple POVs between three characters which is becoming more popular with a lot of books lately. I enjoyed getting the different perspectives from the three main characters and being able to get inside their heads. I am EAGERLY awaiting the second book this week and I really hope Chasing Beautiful gets more of the recognition that it deserves.

3.5

I gobbled this up. It was one of those easy reads. It was a very typical New Adult plot. A girl in her early twenties, something broken from her past, is amazing and beautiful and has no idea. Two guys. Sexy, million-dollar smiles this time instead of crooked, charming ones. One who she feels safe with and one who's feelings scare her. The sex was HOT in this book. Not Fifty Shades dirty, but pretty darn steamy. The book ends on a cliff-hanger so I will probably check out the next book.

It was free so I said what the hell and read it. Sometimes we hit the jackpot on freebies. This one? Not so much.

Weak plot.
Irritating characters, especially the h.
Typos.
Needed a real editor.
Lots of money but they act like trash.

Don't waste your time.

Chasing Beautiful is the first book in Chasing Series which starts off a story about Sienna, a beautiful Californian 20 year old girl who moved to London for college. While being still heartbroken from her past relationship with her childhood best friend Kyle, she engages in a new relationship with her recent friend Brake who she cannot stop thinking about. After Kyle moves to London for work while trying to get her back, she is torn between him and Brake.

I don’t want you for your body… when you’re mine, I want your all. Your body, your soul, your mind. I will consume you – I’ll be your world and in return, I’ll worship the ground you walk on…

This story was an okay read that I'm not really crazy about. There were many sex scenes that I really liked and didn’t seem too tacky and the passion and heat of the moment made the pages turn. The only problem that I have with some of the scenes is that the writing was very confusing. One moment you have Sienna saying some pretty big words and then the next she’ll blurt out something completely ghetto and out of the content. For example, she would say: “Your skills are extraordinary – incomparable” and few paragraphs later: “Yes, it will be hella crazy.” I also did not really find her character to be likeable. I get the whole family tragedy situation and not being able to trust people but for me it was really annoying to read her thoughts. She repeated herself ALOT (well... the author repeated herself ALOT) and it was a constant switch between it's-all-about-me and hot-guys-all-over-me-but-I'm-still-worthless-piece-of-shit act. And she handles situations terrible! When she finds out that Blake -facepalm-

So overall, between hot sex scenes and terrible characters, it was an okay read. I wouldn't even give it one star if the author didn't put some steamy action in there. Blah. Just writing this review made my personal rating stop from 3 to 2 stars. -.-

Jesus Christ... talk about bad writing and the importance of editing.
The list in endless: words missing, overly use of the same sentence or word (sometimes in the same pharagraph), but worst of all was the fact that it all was kinda written in present but then some past got in the way... I know english isn't my mother language so if I noticed this, then I wonder what I missed.

I have mixed feelings on this story, sometimes I wanted to smack Sienna's head with whatever I could get my hands on, she acted like a teenager sometimes, a very immature teenager... and what's with the intense feelings, she's like 18 or something and she and Kyle are discussing marriage and how many kids they'll have?... come on!, he's 20, of course he'll want to screw anything that moves!
The whole thing with Blake was so predictable... except the engagement but then sometimes these characters do stuff that let me in a WTF state, like Blake proposing... seriously, WTF?!... Sienna had to say "yes" or else it meat she didn't love him?... bleh!

This book started off good, then as soon as Blake admitted his feelings it went down hill very fast. I hate Blake's character. As a friend he was super sweet and loving. As soon as they got together it's like he transformed into a completely different person. Cold, possessive and controlling... She's better off hooking up with ANY other male character. I forced myself to keep reading hoping it would get better and it just didn't happen. I read the first couple of pages to the sequel and just gave up, which isn't like me. I like majority of the books I read, but I just can't do this series. Not sure why it has such a high rating...

I wasn't happy with Sienna, she was flip-floppy. She loves Kyle whom she grew up with and she dated for two years but he cheated on her..ok that's a jerk move....but then she's loves her best friend Blake but she flirts with other guys. Sienna needs to make up her mind and pick a guy and stop stringing the others along. Kyle is a jerk for cheating but he's trying to make things right. Blake is a playboy but he wants Sienna.....ours a bizarre triangle that really isn't a triangle...I guess that's why I'm on the fence about this one.

I will be reading the next in the series, I hope it goes better then this one did.

Lots of drama and sexual tension. It wasn't perfect, but I was curious and entertained by these characters. The heroine was sometimes annoying, and let's not talk about the end. I mean, seriously? What was that... Anyway, I really enjoyed it overall. Hope the second book will be better but when I see that Blake go back to his playboy lifestyle...Well maybe I won't like it so much after all. I'll probably take the chance though when I found the time... which is not tonight, unfortunately.

Well..this was tough.
I gotta say, it was entertaining, however the main character was sooo annoying!
The only characters I kind of liked were Blake and Chad. I hated Kyle and I don't think I like Sienna, she was stupid and annoying.
Oh and such a coincidence that all of the guys in her life are hot and she looks like a supermodel and bla bla.
The ending was annoying and frustrating!
I am only going to read the sequel, if it is free on kindle.

Reread 10/2015
I originally rated a 3 but moved up to a 4 this time. The dialogue (mainly the internal) was immature at times to the point it was distracting to the scene. I do enjoy the angst between the couple though.

I have had this series on my Kindle for a while now.
I am not entirely sure how I feel to be honest.
Blake is a manwhore, but once he sets his eyes on Sienna, he is a goner. As she's in a relationship he takes a back seat and goes for friendship instead.
Sienna is head over heels in love with her high school sweetheart.
Kyle is a spoilt brat. His Mother is crazy. I'm sorry, I just couldn't buy into the whole reason as to why she thought it best to abandon her son in London, for his ex to look after him, instead of doing it herself!
Not sure if I will get all the way through this series if it continues in a similar style.
