When I first heard these guys, I was too wet behind the ears to appreciate the masterful nature of this album. Revisiting with educated and experienced ears, this is truly a landmark masterpiece of black metal, and one of the best exports from the Garden State!

I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. I bought the discography almost instantly, reminds me a little of The Faceless and a bit more of Fallujah who I also adore. Well worth the money, Support these great Musicians!

Il ne faut pas se casser la tête quand on veut ratatiner celle des autres : pour un groupe de death metal, ça commence par le fait de trouver un nom bien crade — simple, basique. On pourrait se dire que Depravity suit ce commandement à la lettre sauf que Evil Upheaval, son premier album, révèle déjà un désir d'être dépravé par rapport à la scène. Plus que la recherche du décibel (qui est clairement là quand même), le quintette australien élabore des atmosphères infernales, transgresse, dénonce !
