The REWILDING Library: Books to support you on your journey back to nature 🐝🌱🧘♀️✨
This is a curated collection of books that have been instrumental in my personal journey back to the wild. Embarking on a rewilding-journey transforms our connection to the natural world, aligns us with the rhythmic cycles of the earth, and deepens our intuition. This library is a treasure trove of knowledge from authors I love. Each book on this list aims to offer insights into topics such as: connecting with nature, manifesting with the moon’s phases, or learning to listen and trust our intuition. I’ve also included a couple of works that have a more scientific approach or tackle current problems such as the climate crisis. Each book in this collection has been carefully selected for its ability to inspire, educate, and guide you on your own path to rewilding.
15 of the best winter books to read on cozy days
What are the best books to read in winter? For me, it’s all about what goes best with hot drinks (for me, a hot chocolate or mulled wine), soft blankets, and a comfy sofa. Whatever your mood – and including cozy reads, books set in winter, and some relaxing non-fiction – here are some of the best winter books to enjoy as the weather turns colder in the northern hemisphere, especially in the lead up to Christmas. These reads feel like winter in a book – they're all so incredibly comforting on cold days, particularly if you've woken up to snow.
5 healing books to inspire gentle transformation - Tolstoy Therapy
“It’s almost cruel…after everything, how the world still insists on being beautiful.” – Joy Sullivan, “When My Friend is Low, We Walk by the River”. Healing takes the time it takes. But some things can provide comfort and guidance for the journey, including nature, friends, and as I share here, gently healing books about transforming your life and your self. Head over to Tolstoy Therapy for some of the best healing books I've read so far in 2024, featuring poetry, nature memoirs, and gorgeous Japanese literature in translation.
Books that feel like solitude and time for reflection
If you want to get away from it all, these books about solitude and time for reflection feel like a balm for the soul. Whether you want to escape to the sea, the garden, or the forest to savour time for yourself, these are some of the best books to read to help you relax, unwind, and enjoy some solitary time alone. P.S. the painting of this cozy cabin is by Carl Larsson, a Swedish painter known for his wonderfully comfy settings and family scenes that will inspire any cottagecore lifestyle and simple life dreaming.
8 books about romanticizing life and finding beauty every day
A vase of tulips on the dining room table, reading the newspaper on weekends with a fresh pot of coffee, and finding magic in the mundane... if you're looking for inspiration to romanticize your life, these beautiful books about living well (with food, wine, and flowers) are the perfect place to start. From running errands in Mrs Dalloway to Elin Hilderbrand's beachy inspirational life vibes, these inspiring fiction books are full of cozy daily routines to create a beautiful life, plus simple living rituals and little moments to enjoy simple pleasures and gratitude. They're also some of the most escapist books I've read. Read them and ask how can you start romantizing the details of your life every day, too.
