I really liked the architecture of this old Italianate Victorian mansion but was unable to take a great photo of it (very difficult exposure conditions: with light coming directly at the camera, the house facade was in severe shadow, while the sky was exceedingly bright). Once I started playing with the image to "fix" it, I found I'd made so many adjustments and lost so much detail that I might as well make it into an old-timey sepia image.
