Niches often get installed incorrectly resulting in crappy little cuts around them, if you want them to look perfect and land on grout lines like this, you will need your carpenter and tiler to work together on this one!

1️⃣ If you’re using 600x600mm (approx. 24x24 inches) tiles or 300x600mm (approx. 12x24 inches) tiles, have your carpenter build the frame of the niche with internal dimensions of 650x350mm (approx. 25.6x13.8 inches).

2️⃣ Next, have the carpenter set up a laser level, beaming a level line at the 1200mm (approx. 47.2 inches) mark in the room, taking measurements from the lowest point on the floor.
