May 16th was the day i chopped off my hair. I was a transitional natural for three years, but my hair was not healthly. Due to improper hair care, excessive heat, harsh protective styles (super tight braids, sew ins), my hair was very damaged. Instead of treating the damaged hair, I decided to cut it all off and start fresh. I cut off almost all my hair which resulted in a very small afro. My plan to grow healthier hair is to keep it moisturized and in braids (not super tight, but secure).
