Uh Dirty Bourbon here and line dance that a lot of people know is called Cotton Eye Joe. Um it's sometimes a couple's dance. I've seen as many as three, four, five, six, seven people actually hold each other and do this but it's the same step. There's only two parts. There's the travel which is four times and then there's the cross which is four times. So, we'll learn that real simple step and then we'll demonstrate it here. It's a little weird, right? Cuz we're alone in the bar and there's only four of us but normally when there's like the whole four full. It's a lot of fun. So this is cut and I Joe. It's pretty simple. The travel is and think triple step for those of you who know what that means. If you don't, it's like a cha cha cha. Just think right, left, right, left, right, left. Uh so, here's the travel. It's right, left, right, left, right, left. Do it again, right, left, right, left, right, left. So, that's four times. That's the travel and then, the other part is the crossover and back and so, you're going to kick forward with your right foot. So, bring your right foot forward and cross over and come back and then you're going to go cha cha cha and then crossover with your left foot and you're going to do cha cha cha. Okay, so let's do this together just kind of slowly. There's the travel and then there's a cross and then we'll demonstrate it for about a minute here and then you can rewind and practice it but this is Cotton Eye Joe. Just two different steps in it. Okay. Uh first part is the travel. Uh ready and right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left. That's the first part. It actually does it several more times and then the crossover part is put your right foot forward, right, cross, right, back, cha cha, cha, left, right, left, cha cha, cha. And then you do that again. So I think you know how this goes but we just wanted to break it down real simply. There's two moves. Uh it starts with the travel. Um sometimes people get off. You just kind of roll with it if they're not doing it right. But there's a count in that should happen when the vocals start and you start with the travel. Okay we'll demonstrate Cotton Eye Joe. I've been married long time ago where did you come from where did you go where did you come from You can do variations where you cross over and slush but that's how it goes.
