Live in the now for me Don’t let life wear you down Live in the now for me One more time Live in the now for me Don’t let life wear you down Some days are hard Struggles around People just don’t make sense You’re feeling down Sun’s shining out You’re staying in Don’t feel like facing the world and so called friends Don’t forget to care about yourself Find your strength, your power You got what it takes To make a difference every day (Every day) Live in the now Don’t let shit get you down (Down down down down down) Because you’ll see (Oh, you will see) Just be strong (Just be strong) and you’ll be free Oh you will be free Live in the now for me Don’t let life wear you down One more time Live in the now for me There will be so many better days (Yeah yeah better days for you) (Days for you) Live in the now for me Don’t let life wear you down

about

Belgian dj/producer Gratts moved to Adelaide from Berlin two years ago. Last year, he released the much acclaimed 'Sun Circles (For Leo & Ziggy)', a song he penned for his two young sons featuring Nathan Haines on sax and flute and Mr. Beale on vox. It was coined "2023's track of the year" left and right and topped Juno's sales chart for weeks.

Now based down under, a live gig with Adelaide drummer / bandleader / producer Alexander Flood led to the pair bonding over music and their mutual connection with Berlin and Adelaide. Flood operates on the verge of jazz and contemporary electronics and dove into the studio with a jazz quintet to record an “Adelaide live remake” of 'Sun Circles'. (They didn't use any of the original parts, but re-recorded a gorgeously fresh and exciting new take.) The lineup: Alexander Flood (drums, production), Kara Manansala (vocals), Jack Strempel (keys), Dylan Paul (bass) and Tom Noonan (flute). The result is a gorgeously fresh and energetic, breezy take on the original.

On the B-side, legendary American composer John Beltran turns in a latin inspired balearic version of the original 'Sun Circles'.
