Birthday Cowboy

  Hello, Hello! 

I have been enjoying playing with older stamps and pulled out another oldie but goodie from MFT.  I made a birthday card for a friend's grandson who lives in the great state of Texas.  I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches~ 

I really loved this line of stamps- so cute!  

Here is the sketch~

I used the colors from Sunday Stamps~

This cowboy was colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  I have been trying to use up patterned paper (use up is a relative term- I'm just trying to use SOME!) so this sketch was perfect.  I used Versafine Claire Nocturne Ink for the large sentiment- I love the coverage you get with this ink.  

The sentiment strip was die cut with a Divinity Designs Pierced Rectangle Die.  

A few enamel dots finish this fun card.

Happy New Year!

 Hello, Hello and Happy New Year!

It has been a while- a long while.  I had the urge to craft on New Year's Eve-yippee!  I was not really sure I was ever going to be interested in cardmaking again, but here we are- at least for one day!  

I immediately headed for challenges to get inspired.  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this birthday card.  

Here is the sketch I used~

I started with two beautiful roses from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.  The first is from the Rose Banner Stamp Set.  When stamping this image with my MISTI and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I masked out the banner.  The second rose is from the True Beauty Stamp Set.  Both roses were colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  

My background is made with my Gel Press Plate, acrylic paint and a brayer.  My sentiment is from the SnSS Birthday Wordfetti Stamp Set.  I used my MISTI and Versafine Black Ink to stamp.  

Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Sequins finish off the card.

Party Balloon Animal!

 Hello Friends!

It's been a while!  Between the end of the school year and going out of town for sick parents, there just has not been time to craft.  Plus, I have tons of house projects lined up for the summer.  Anyone else do this?? 

I finally snuck in some crafting this past weekend and played with Spellbinder's fabulous new birthday release!  The Birthday Celebration release has loads of stamps, dies, paper and embellies.  

I could not resist this adorable Balloon Party Animal.  I paired it with the Party Decor Dies (I just used the circles) and used a sentiment from the Birthday Unboxing Sentiments.  

The Balloon Animal is colored with Copics.  The card background was stenciled with some Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass using a Stamplorations stencil.  A few gems finish off the card.  

I am linking this card up to the Tic Tac Toe challenge.  I used Die Cut, Embellishment, Bright colors.

I am also linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More, Make Your Mark.  Happy 10th birthday ATSM!

My color inspiration comes from The Paper Players!

Sweetie Pie

 Hello! 

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  

If you work for a school system or have kids in school, you know we are in the home stretch!  Life is getting busy as the days get warmer and longer.  The sun helps my mood and I am enjoying crafting again.  

Today I have a card using new Spellbinders dies.  

And then because I decided after I cleaned my glasses that the sentiment was fuzzy, I took the picture again!

I love the vintage flare these Pie Perfection dies have.  Gingham and doilies are the perfect compliment to these die sets.  Here I have used die sets from the Pie Perfection collection.  Sky View Pies Die Set is perfect for your favorite baker.  The adorable pie server die cut from silver mirrored cs, is from the Dish it Up Die Set. And last but not least, the yummy cherry is from the Serve A Slice Die Set.  

I used a stamp from IO Stamps for the background.  The stamp is aptly named Gingham Cover a Card. I paired the sentiment, Have a Super Sweet Day with the dessert dies.  The sentiment is from Divinity Designs. For the cherry pie, before I glued the lattice onto the cherry filling, I added some Glossy Accents to the red cs and then sprinkled clear glitter on it while it was still wet.  Some SSS Moonshine Sequins finish off the card.

Box of Balloons with Impression Obsession

 Hello Hello! Welcome to our blog hop showcasing die cuts!

So, I am hooked on this Cardboard Box Die! I colored it as if it was wrapped in wrapping paper and added black polka dots with the Small Dots Cover a Card Stamp.  You can put just about anything in it!  I put a cat in it HERE.  

This time I made a birthday card, with a bunch of balloons loosing from the box, using the Party Balloons Dies and Sm. Balloon Strings Dies.    

The background was repeatedly stamped with a Celebrate sentiment.  I finished the card off with some Moonshine sequins.
