Making ice cream at home is easier than you think. Not only is it simple, but homemade ice cream gives a rich and creamy taste that store-bought varieties can’t match. This Christmas, surprise your friends and family with a delightful homemade treat using this festive recipe for strawberry ice cream.
Ingredients
2 cups whipping cream
1 cup condensed milk
2 teaspoons strawberry flavour
Fresh strawberries
Sugar
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine fresh strawberries with sugar (adjust quantity based on your desired sweetness). Cook over medium heat until the strawberries break down into a soft, syrup-like consistency. Remove from heat, and let the mixture cool completely.
In a large mixing bowl, pour the whipping cream and whisk until it becomes light and fluffy, with soft peaks forming.
Gently pour in the condensed milk and add the strawberry flavour. Whisk until all ingredients are well blended.
Divide the whipped cream mixture into two portions. Set one portion aside. To the remaining portion, add the cooled strawberry mixture, reserving a small amount for layering. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
In a freezer-safe container, layer the mixtures step by step. Start with a layer of the plain whipped cream mixture. Add a layer of the strawberry-infused mixture. Repeat the layering process, adding dollops of the reserved strawberry mixture.
Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer. Freeze for at least 6–8 hours or until firm.
Serve your frozen homemade treat and enjoy!
