Paul Stanley’s new signature axe is a real gem
Or should we say, 1,400 gems. The Ibanez PS1DM’s a rock-ready guitar that’s so blinged out with sparkling rhinestones you’ll need shades to play it.
Shield your eyes, because the new Paul Stanley signature guitar will blind you. The Ibanez PS1DM, based on the Iceman, is studded with—count ’em—1,400 glittering rhinestones.
Besides all that bling, the made-in-Japan guitar is brimming with cosmetic features. Like abalone block inlays, a bound ebony fretboard and a mirror pickguard on a maple-topped mahogany body.
Specs-wise, a Seymour Duncan ’59 humbucker on the neck and a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 humbucker on the bridge power the six-string. A three-piece maple set-neck and Gibraltar bridge with sustain block round up the other features of the PS1DM. But, really, it’s all about that dazzling finish.
The Ibanez PS1DM lists for $7,999. For more information, check out ibanez.com.
