「MAKUNOUCHI」は、2025年現在進行形で展開している熊本ミュージックシーンで活躍するアーティスト、DJ、トラックメイカーによるdance, electronic, alternative and experimental といった楽曲を収録したコンピレーションアルバム。多様で独自なエレクトロニック・アプローチが同じシーンで共存する熊本ならではのサウンド群をぜひ体感あれ。

This compilation features dance, electronic, alternative and experimental works by artists, DJs, and trackmakers active in the ongoing Kumamoto underground music scene.
Kumamoto is located in the central part of Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's four main islands. One of Kumamoto's most significant geographical features is its rich volcanic landscape, primarily dominated by Mount Aso. And there is also known for its abundant water resources.
The city has a thriving live music scene, with numerous live houses and clubs where local bands and touring artists perform. Venues like Django, Space, and NAVARO are central to this scene, hosting a wide range of genres. These places are crucial for nurturing local talent and providing a platform for underground musicians.
Kumamoto's dance, electronic and experimental music scenes may not be as prominent as its rock and pop music scenes, they are an important part of the city's diverse musical identity. They are driven by a dedicated group of artists, DJs and fans who continue to cultivate a unique and evolving soundscape.
