Water, so black as the deepest abyss
Nowhere to go, drowning in sorrow
Unsavory spirit, never to be found
This lifeless cadaver,
dead man buried in water
No funeral to be committed,
no rest for these souls
A result of lost tormenting shadows
wandering our waters edges
Hear the calls of the lost
When a storm appears
A sign, not to venture out at sea
Diseases will beckon upon the one
Who deny it’s cries
“Gastkramad”
Need to cross these streams of dark
to be free from the tormenting grip
of the drowned spirit
“De kommer vandra här
tills världen är död”
See the drowning spirit,
coming for your life
Spreading its disease
Never to find peace
Feel the heaviness
on your back
in hope to be buried
at consecrated grounds
Heavy af buy it. Rhythmically this is some of the only metal fully venturing this far into almost swung meter. Robotic, but breathing at the same time. This album cover perfectly encapsulates this feeling; like being lost in a machine, everything unfamiliar and alien, yet somehow you know at the helm it's a human powering it. It veers away from most North American influenced metal. Listened since this dropped; always excited for more. Haloleet

To say that Slugdge has had an impact on my artistic taste and voice would be an understatement. Hearing this album shook the bedrock of my musical journey. I recommend it to everybody I meet that’s into heavy music and every person I tell is immediately a fan. Incredible stuff.
