Starwalker IJO and Quaad on the same release, YEAS PLEASE!! 🔥🩷 IJO has some of the slickest, grooviest production sound and it comes in well for HVS08. dude has a talent for making beautiful basslines that you cant find anywhere else, and i always love how IJO somehow finds a way to make each one equally as unique and pleasing on the ears. the heavily chopped and stretched breaks are a cherry on top with their rough edge. happy to see IJO on HVS! Quaad isnt just great at music- they also know who to pick!

Heavy Sounds presents HVS08 by IJO & Quaad! And first off I have to say, I am so excited to have IJO on the label... He's been making loads of music for quite some time through many different genres, and I've been a major fan of his ever since I heard "Herbies Talking" which came out on Pinecone Moonshine a while back. However at that time I wasn't too interested in production. It wasn't until 2023 when I heard "Jungle Distance" that I was reminded he is a fellow Akai user! To my surprise he was down for a vinyl release, emphasizing that he was really keen on tunes getting pressed to wax, especially when it came to the hardware tunes.

These two tunes from IJO are absolutely bangin'... "Pace" smacked me in the face the first time I heard it and "Singularity" as well, although a bit sweeter and really lathered with the oldskool flavor. I wanted to do them some justice on my end as well, so my S3000Xl and I shared a lot of long nights together to get these done. More info about the technical side of this release can be found on the record, but all four tracks were done strictly inside Akai S Series samplers! Enjoy!
