Thin Lizzy Live in Birmingham...

You're Very Welcome...

NEW LINKS

Another fine compilation from the Music For Nations label.
Welcome To The Metal Zone from 1985.
A good spread of bands.
Back in the 80's there were so many bands
it was hard to keep up with it all.
A compilation album was a good way to
check out a few bands you would normally never listen to.
A couple of pops and clicks but overall a Rockin' good listen.

Cause You Set Ma Soul On Fire...

 Here's a show from Brooklyn '92.
KISS gearing up for the Revenge Tour by
playing a series of club dates.
And by all accounts playing better than ever
and reconnecting with a smaller,rabid,
sweaty crowd.
Must've been cool seeing
them up close and personal.
Pretty good audience recording here.

You're So Rough,You're So Tough...

 AND WE'RE BACK!
First post of the year has been sent in to The Barn.

I didn't know that Rocket was on a brief break
but sometimes a rest and recharge is needed.
I did, however, want to share a
treat for "the Barn" (and I know that you guys are
taking a rest until the New Year,
which is fine) that I think everyone will enjoy.
Black Oak Arkansas, Live on the Hog:
The show featured the (at the time) 15-year-old
Shawn Lane on guitar, who absolutely
shreds his way through the setlist.
It was played on the radio in 1979, so the sound quality is great.
The only problem with this set is it's just over
45 minutes long, but man, what a performance.
Hope everyone enjoys! Blessings to you during this holiday season!
Thanks,

That "Crazy" Fellow

Springsteen and his buddies on the

into his live shows and this one
is no different.

You're So Sweet...

Here's a couple of Radio Broadcasts from those young
whippersnappers,The Rolling Stones.
Back in the news with the release of their "Hackney Diamonds"
album (a fine listen imo).
And they've just announced a tour for next year!!
So we step back to 1994 for these shows
from the Voodoo Lounge Tour.

The KGB Came On The Line...

Deep Purple (Mark VII) Live In Concert...

From Moscow, Russia Back in 1996...

Back When Steve Morse Was In The Band...

He Sorta Kick-Started The Band To a New
Creative Period, In Which They Released a
Bunch of New Music!

But, Here On This Night, They Played Mostly
The Classics of Deep Purple...

For This Excellent FM Broadcast!

Last Year (2022) on Blabbermouth.net:
Deep Purple has stayed away from making political statements for over 50 years,
but Russia's invasion of Ukraine has prompted the band to make an exception.
The legendary hard rock band was forced to cancel its scheduled May 31 concert in Kyiv, Ukraine, due to uncertainty regarding the war. But the band also canceled its June 4 Moscow concert in protest of Vladmir Putin's invasion.
Going a step further over the weekend, all five band members issued statements denouncing Russia's military operation in Ukraine and calling for new leadership in the Kremlin.

He Succeeded...

Sounds More Like AOR Kinda Music...

Keyboards and Guitars and Such...

Nothin' Wrong With That...

Europe and Other Bands Did Quite Well...

Good Vinyl Rip of Paul Di'Anno's First Solo Record...

My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)...

An Excellent ELO Show!

Live from Cleveland (Rocks!) Ohio...

At The Cleveland (Rocks!) Stadium...

In 1978...

On The Out Of The Blue Tour...

It Was Originally a 2 CD Bootleg...

But, Just Barely...

So, I Removed the Intro and Outro,
Which Were Sci-Fi Music When the ELO
Spaceship Opened and Closed...
(I'm Sure It Was Great When Seen...)

And, a Couple Minutes of Crowd Noise
At The End of One Song...

And, Voila!

It Now Fits Wonderfully on 1 CD...

I Re-Worked Some Artwork...

And, Here YOU Have a Great Bootleg
With Some of Their Best Music?

So, Roll Over Beethoven And
Tell Tchaikovsky The News!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

Drummer Carmine Appice Is the Only
Member of the Band I Know...

He's Been Playin' Drums Forever!

Suppose He Started with Vanilla Fudge...

There Was Cactus and B, B and A
(And Other Variations)...
'Course Most Famous for Rod Stewart
I Guess...

This Is a Good WLLZ FM Radio Broadcast...

And, It's a Good Old Fashioned Rock & Roll Show TOO!

Can't Tell Who's Havin' More FUN:
The Fans OR The Band!

Great Songs AND Solos Galore...

Oh, And Rock And Roll IS NOT Zep's...

It Should Have: (Part 2) After It...

'Cause It's a Cover of Gary Glitter's Song...

Played At Most Sportin' Events Everywhere...

I Bet Most Of the Folks Have No Idea
Who OR What It Is, 'Cept They Can Shout
At Certain Parts Throughout the Song!

Anyway, It's Live from Harpo's in
Detroit (Rock City!) from 1985...

Did I Mention It Was a FUN Rockin' Concert?

I Was Drivin' Down the Highway, My Music Playin' Loud...

Discogs Lists This As an Unofficial Release...

It's SAXON Live from the Beat Club in 1981...

With an Excellent Setlist...

Dallas 1PM Has News Reporter Sound
In The Middle Section...

Still Not Figured Out Why It's Played
At Some Shows and Not Others?

I Guess This Was Actually Broadcast on TV...

But, This Show Has a RAW & RAWKIN' Sound!

No, Slick Production...

Sounds Like What It Probably Sounded Like
IF You Was in Bremen That Night!

Everybody's Got Their Dues in Life to Pay...

I Really Like This Bootleg...

Here's Why:

1) It'sNaz!
Really Don't Have to Say Anymore...
But, You Know I Will...

2) It's a Real Good Soundboard...
(Some Feedback, Here & There...)

3) The Song Selection Is Different & Interestin'...

The Artwork Was Made With a Nod to
Purple's Made In Japan...

I Like The Simplicity Of It...

DON'T Make The Same Misstake Twice!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

Prayin' Like It's 1999...

This Is Michael Sweet's 1st Solo Effort...

The 1st 3 Songs Sound Like Stryper...

The 4th Is a Slower, Less Rockin' Song...

And the Last Song Is a Ballad...

This was Originally Recorded in 1992,
But Not Released Until 1999...

It Was a Limited Edition CD...

This Was a Good 1st Solo CD...

But, I Think His Best CD Is One-Sided War...
It Rocks Hard All The Way Through...

And the Sweet & Lynch CDs Were Really Good as well...

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

The Main Attraction Is Back In Town...

Another solid 80's album and tour from
KISS.I enjoyed all the 80's releases but what I liked
back in those days was the sense of
excitement before each album was released.
Then you'd get to the record shop and
get your copy.Throw it on the turntable,
learning the lyrics and digesting all info
that came on the outer and inner sleeves.
So here they are bopping and weaving
across the stage and putting on a show.
Well,apart from Bruce!
(Somebody's got to keep it together, right?).
