You Can Hide Away...

Billy's 3rd solo album and pretty much
more of the same of that classy Pop/Rock,
Power Pop.Also features a cool version of
his big Nazareth tune Dream On.
From 1999.
No offence Billy but that cover is horrendous! Lol!

Billy's Got A Gun,He's On The Run...

Here's Billy Rankin's first solo album from 1984.
It's from his website and he's quite happy to share
for those of you who keep up with past posts.
It's in the area of Rick Springfield/Billy Squier
kinda Pop/Rock but with plenty of guitar.
It features a drum machine so it dates it for sure.
He had some success with the album,I bought the single
"Baby Come Back" back in '84.
So I hope Billy got some of my money! lol.
I don't ever remember seeing the album in
record shops back then which was pretty
strange,lookin' back.
Anyhoo...enjoy.

Woke Up This Morning...

Another Nazareth show from Billy Rankin's site.
This time we're in eastern Europe,Estonia.
The Nazareth boys have played far and wide
during their career.
It's the No Jive Tour and they're not ramming it
down the crowd's throats as there's only one song
played,I think.
Anyway a great show as usual...timeless Rock 'n' Roll.

Freak Out In A Moonage Daydream,Oh Yeah...

This one comes from Billy Rankin's site.
He was a Spider From Mars at Ronno's Memorial gig.
This comes in at 160 kbps so if it
doesn't suit you...jog on.
But it's a great listen to my ears.
And a fine tribute to a guitarist
who influenced a lot of players.

I Think It's Time For A Change...

Here's Billy's demos for the Sound Elixir album.
Of course some made the record some didn't.
But interesting to hear those tunes in
their early versions.
I love the tune Whippin' Boy...it Rocks!

And I Ain't Coming Back...

Stumbled across the site for Billy Rankin (ex Nazareth) when I
was looking for something else the other day.
Turns out he's got a ton of stuff on his website
he's happy to share.
Whether it's for personal use or uploading.
So expect a few Nazareth uploads in the coming weeks!
He's got his history for everybody to read.
What I've read so far is very good.Told in a
conversational style,it's also very funny.
It also shows you the inner workings of a major Rock Band.
All I will say is we know you have to watch out for
managers,promoters & record companies ripping
musicians off.
You also have to watch out for your bandmates!!
Get it all here.

Anyway the first show up is from Germany 1983.
Thanks Billy!!
