It's been a long journey for me and Mantis having first seen them way back in '81
and back then myself and my fellow
gig goers were convinced they were going to be HUGE
with their Time Tells No Lies album.
At the time they offered something different on the
NWOBHM scene with the quality of those songs BUT
once again it didn't happen and here we are 40+ years
later with them playing small venues like this,but
at least they are still out there and seeing the the
smiles on their faces tonight enjoying every minute of it.
As expected most of the songs played tonight were from
that album but I have to say the newer material really does
shine through particularly 'Standing Tall' which is just brilliant.
Thank you Mantis for making an old man very
happy even if I did have to travel way down to
South London to find the venue.Enjoy,Ed.
