Hello everyone,  and welcome to my dt member inspiration for the challenge blog More than Words. Here is the link to MTW: https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/ I created for the April challenge a beautiful SKETCH.   our creative challenge is the SKETCH and our word challenge is PERFECT This is my dt member inspiration an art journal page.  I had a PERFECT day when I created this art journal page.  The birds were singing so beautifully and the air outside felt as if it was spring. So I decided to create a pastel color art journal page in honor of the upcoming spring. The word PERFECT is glued as a little piece from my dictionary and for the creative challenge I followed the sketch vertical. I hope you feel a little bit inspired from my art journal page and my SKETCH. 2021 More Than Words challenge #3 Carpe Diem and Mark-making

Image
Hello everyone and welcome  to my main challenge inspiration for  More than Words. Here is the link to the blog:  https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/ CARPE DIEM... Heike: The month of March is my favorite month of the year. Not because it is my birthday month it is also world womens day on the 8th of March. Therefore the word"CARPE DIEM" is also my honor to Mother Teresa. In my eyes she lived her life  according to the word "CARPE DIEM". She sacrificed herself to the poor, sick and dying people. In it she saw the value of life, her personal "CARPE DIEM". The Mother Teresa image is from ScrapFX. I painted the word "CARPE DIEM" with black watercolor. For the creative challenge "MARKMAKING"  I used Stabilo woodys 3 in 1 and Crayons for my "MARKMAKING"  and as you can see I used the whole background, that was fun!! Here is our inspiration board from MTW:   Important, Wichtig, Belanrijk: Please add your name and your coun...

Creating to me is like finding my inner self, my soul. It gives me a great joy to see my creative corner in our livingroom. When I create, I can feel the ROMANCE between me, my mediums, papers and everything around me.  I added the word ROMANCE in big black letters to my background. For the creative challenge ROSE, I have chosen the color ROSE. Romance. Below on the photo you can see the big black letters from the word ROMANCE. I really love to combine my page with stickers (13@rts), markmaking lines, and black stamp images. For highlighting I added 13@rts yellow color and orange color also to my pag...

January 2021 More Than Words challenge #1 Beginnings and Washi Tape

Image
Hello everyone,  and welcome to my dt member inspiration for the new challenge on the blog from More than Words. Here is the link:  More Than Words (morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com) https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/ Beginnings... The word "BEGINNINGS" inspired me to create a scrapbook layout with a snow covered flower-plant photo, so at least it is in the nature of the month January. But unfortunately it is not so. We haven`t seen snow here in The Netherlands for a long time. But I can dream about it, right? I scribbled the word "BEGINNINGS" with a pencil on my background.  For the creative challenge "WASHI TAPE" I tore washi tape in little pieces and added to my background and I added washi tape with a photo image of Marilyn Monroe also to my background. MTW mood board:    There will no longer be Runner Up, Random, or Mystery winners for our Main Challenge.   This year we have changed to a Regional Prize structure, whereby there w...

December challenge More than words: Childhood and Gold

Image
Hello my dear blog reader, todays inspiration is for the December challenge More Than Words. Here is the link:  https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/   The beauty of Christmas, is the beauty of CHILDHOOD. I decided to create a Christmas scrapbook layout in mixed media style for our main December challenge. I love everything about the festive December month. The smell of homemade cookies, hot chocolate, the tradition decoration in red, green and gold, the secrets and the family togetherness. The memory of my Christmas-childhood long time ago was my inspiration for the December page. I used for my layout the Dreamland paper collection of 13arts and I added lots of gold glitter ink and WOW gold embossing powder on the background. Also a little bit gold glitter ink on the clock. I wish you a Happy Christmas with many beautiful memories. Here are our MTW rules: Our prizes: MAIN CHALLENGE WINNER  (as voted by our DT)  $50  USD value prize from   THOM...

More than Words main challenge leafs and season

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the new main challenge for the  challenge blog More than Words. Our rules are: Here is my description: No festival season 2020... is my title for this challenge. I created a scrapbook page in mixed media style with a photo from "Thirty seconds to mars". Unfortunately there was no festival season this year because of the pandemic. I am happy that I have Spotify, where I can hear my favorite music. It doesn`t replace the feeling and joy of a festival. I know that of course... But it`s better than nothing!! For the creative challenge I create my own leafs with watercolor from 13@rts which I attached  to my focal point. I also stamped with a leaf stamp on my background. I see you on the blog from More than Words. xoxo Heike

More than words night and no flower main challenge

Image
Hello everyone  and welcome to the new main challenge on the blog from More than Words. Here is the link to More than Words:  https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/ for this challenge I had the perfect paper in my stash. "Under the stars" of 13arts. I wrote the word NIGHT on my background. For the creative challenge NO FLOWERS, well that wasn't that difficult for me, I'm not the big flower user anyway. On the photo my daughter with her best friends. My inspiration explanation: There are two types of people. There are the early risers, the so-called lark birds and there are the late risers, the so-called owls. I belong more to the lark-birds that means that I can see little of the summer night sky because I am mostly asleep. Only in the Autumn months I can see something of the night sky and that's always something very special. I love the clear autumn starry night, it gives me a taste of the festive season before christmas. Night... our prizes.... I see you ...

More than words September Main challenge

Image
Hello everyone  and welcome to our new September main challenge on the blog from More than words. Here is the link:  https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/ M y inspiration for you is a layout created on 13@rts paper where I glued a "BOOK PAPER" collage. My book pages come from a book that belonged to my mother. I also put book pages behind the photo of my mother. BOOKS did not play a major role in my parent's world, in contrast to myself... I read one or two books a week. I recently became the proud owner of an e-book reader. I am interested in many genres: crime stories, fantasy, women or historical novels. I am currently reading the series of the seven sisters of Lucianda Riley. When I read a book I need silence and then I dive into the world of the book. I don`t hear anything anymore. Often it happens that my husband has to call me several times before I notice that he has spoken to me... Yeah I am a real "book-worm". Here are our amazing sponsors for ...
