Set/The Pirhanas her first band was The Chefs (John Peel fave) She later signed to RCA with her band The Horns and had a couple of minor hits
Helen took 20 years out to become a Mum and PHD, taking up her songwriting again in 2003. Suburban Pastoral was her 1st solo record.

Been listening to this new album over and over since it came out this morning. Bought it and I might buy another for a gift. It's the sweet spot between whimsy and sincerity. It is whip smart. Progressions are freeeeesh. Performances are flawless. Lyrics are witty and insightful. The decisions here, thousands of them, all perfect. And this may just be me, I get the sensation or feelings from listening to this that I do The Kinks. The fresh whimsy and surprises and intellect..Just buy it.

A work of considerable power and subtlety. Certainly a grower but I was hooked on first listen and it seems to improve on subsequent plays. Well done to everyone involved and good luck for the future, hopefully a long and successful future.
