lyrics
Now we're trapped alone together
I'm sorry that there's nothing to offer
It's not enough, I called your bluff
You did it again, this time I feel it
You did it again, this time I feel it
I've been evicted from the sun (sun)
Going out today was a grave mistake
Now everyone is taking sides (sides)
I can't decide which one is right
There's something fragile and it's your hands
Drop me when you're ready to make bigger plans
I'll spit it two, spill over you
Don't clean it up if you don't want it back
Don't clean it up if you don't want it back
I've been evicted from the sun (sun)
Going out today was a grave mistake
Now everyone is taking sides (sides)
I can't decide which one is right

Hello Mary is a three-piece rock band from Brooklyn, NY comprised of guitarist/vocalist Helena Straight, drummer/vocalist Stella Wave and bassist Mikaela Oppenheimer.
Great material, great performances, and a truly muddy mess of a mix on most of the record. The drums are mostly just thuds in the distance. I still appreciate this band and hope that they'll work with better engineers in the future. I've heard some of these songs played live and they sounded so much better than they do here. Thomas Raven
The great underlying instrumentation paired with Florence's droll stream of consciousness lyrics make this album stand out. It feels so personal and confessional. Favorite tracks are Strong Feelings and Leafy. I've heard Scratchard Lanyard on alt radio and love that one as well. tofupotpie
Classic emo sing-a-longs trade blows with tormented post-hardcore passages on the Brooklyn outfit's powerful sophomore LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 3, 2024
NYC auteur Cameron Winter and his experimental rock band temper disorienting arrangements with disarmingly gorgeous instrumentation. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 28, 2025
Anticipated follow-up to 2023's lauded "Cartwheel" marks the shoegazers' first LP recorded as a full band, with a leveled-up sound to match. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 22, 2025
This song ticks all the boxes for me. Guitar sounds, vocals, song structure. I can't put my finger on any one factor, it all works together to make a really great song. malfunction54
