I have hundreds of black metal albums in my collection, and Exercises in Futility has outsold them all, making it my most popular Bandcamp purchase. That's no coincidence: Mgła is an elite act, with an extraordinary ability to craft melodies that are heavy yet never overbearing, and always addictive. Playback value never seems to fade, and there's not a weak track on the album. An exceptional black metal release that has stood the test of time and will continue to do so. 10/10. Obsidian One

Bell Witch plunges the listener into the icy depths of grief with Mirror Reaper, forcing a direct confrontation with the dead, time, and purgatory. The 1 1/2 hour runtime of this album is the exploration of a ghost caught between life and death, and accurately portrays the experience. Thou!MirrorWitch

Has there been a band with such a fantastic musical voyage as Ulver? A truly dynamic release in an already stellar catalogue. Dark synth pop for the masses with historical influences. Highly, highly recommended. 9/10 RJ
