hi, netizens! the horsering™ is a webring connecting horses worldwide. it's called the horsering due to its humble origins being a certain friend group that likes to refer to themselves as horses 🐴

the horsering is mostly limited to friends, and thus is largely invite-only for now. our members are mostly tech nerds, or worse, weebs.

to join, contact the ringmaster, orangc, preferably via email.

the source code for the horsering is open source. it's just a simple python flask app by orangc; see the README for more details.

it is mandatory that you add these lines of code to your website prior to joining, which you may customise however you wish:

the horsering has several routes:

/next/<name> and /prev/<name> for navigating backwards and forwards through the horsering
/rand to visit a random member's website
/members to see the data for all members in a JSON response
/first and /last to visit the websites of the members with the first and last positions in the horsering
/oldest and /newest to visit the websites of the members who joined first and last respectively
/member/<name> to visit the website of a specific member
/pos/<position> to visit the website of the member at a specific position
