Lingam

Lingam - an abstract representation of Lord #Shiva on the Earth. It is a symbol of the energy and potential of Shiva himself. When a #Linga is installed on a #Yoni, it represents the union of Shiva and #Shakti – the beginning of creation. It is often found at the centre of the #Hindu #temples. Linga in #Sanskrit means #symbol or #sign.
