DIY Bi-Fold Door Makeover!! From Slatted to Shaker Style, Easy Tutorial
DETAILED STEP BY STEP 1. I measured my bi-fold doors which were 11 3/4" width by 78 3/4" height each. I have two sets of doors with 2 panels each. • 2. I went to @loweshomeimprovement and picked up a utility panel... which I think is just cheaper plywood? I paid $27 for one 4'x8' piece of plywood. • 3. PRO TIP! Have it cut at the store!!! Bring your measurements with you!! This eliminates needing a table saw. This one was enough for all 4 pieces I needed. • 4. I bought 10x of general purpose finger joint lattice pine. They were 8' each and I bought a few extra just in case. I only used 8 for the entire project. PRO TIP: check each piece before buying to ensure they are straight!!!! & to be cost effective, you can buy PVC lattice trim (usually $6 a piece) but my store was out!
