Pendry Chicago
Booth Hansen was selected as the architect of record to execute the vision for the Pendry, located in Chicago’s landmarked Carbide and Carbon Building in the heart of the Loop neighborhood. Originally completed in 1929 by the Burnham Brothers, the Carbide and Carbon’s gold-leaf tower is an Art Deco icon in the city. As with any landmarked building, the challenge was working to keep the historic details while creating one of Chicago’s new high-end, exclusive destinations.
