Vintage bathrooms can sometimes get a bad reputation, especially when it comes to colored tile. And while some homeowners might shudder at avocado-colored toilets or mustard-toned tubs, others take inspiration from the quirky vintage style. Kristi Waite fell into the latter category.

Owner Sean Lewis loved his pink art deco bathroom, but failing fixtures and leaky plumbing forced him to renovate. The goal was to preserve the pink wall tile, vintage bathtub, and existing layout while adding storage and new fixtures. The bathroom would be used by his son so a bit of masculine character was encouraged. After removing the floor and replacing all of the plumbing, wood-look floor tile was laid to add warmth and texture. New wallpaper matches the pink tile and adds blue…
