Jenny Curiel on Instagram: "Stovetop Carnitas 😋 Ingredients - 3.5 lbs. of Pork Butt or Pork Shoulder - 1 lb. of Lard - 2 Bay Leaves - 3 Tbsp. of Salt - 3/4 Cup of Warm Water - 1/2 Cup of Coca Cola - 1/2 Orange Instructions Heat up lard in a pot. I used a Dutch Oven. Carefully add in the pork. Fry for 1 hour over medium heat. Add 3 Tbsp. of Salt to 3/4 cup of warm water. Also add juice of 1/2 orange and bay leaves. Cook for another 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes, add in the Coke. Cook for another 30 minutes. The total cook time is 2 hours. I made Tacos, but you can also serve them with a side of beans and rice!
