Processing, spinning and knitting milkweed fiber
The milkweed plant produces a fiber that can be used by spinners. Fibers from hemp, flax, dogbane, milkweed and nettle have been used for thousands of years to produce textiles, cordage, netting, etc. I've been wanting to try my hand at getting fibers from milkweed, processing them, and spinning them.
