Reading Buddies

As a teacher, my favorite part of the school day was teaching children to read and making stories come alive in my classroom. As a mom, my favorite part of the day was being snuggled up with my boy reading a good book together. The love of reading truly does begin on the lap of a parent. Nothing is more rewarding to a teacher(or this mom) than for those sounds and blends to finally mesh together into fluency. Oh how I love to hear those little voices. Such sweet, sweet, music to my soul.
