It's Kayla with The Celebration Company. Good afternoon. Good evening. Y'all I hope you're having a great day. It is a little bit of a rainy day here. It just started raining. But we're going to get crafty and bring in a little sunflower. A little sun up in here. We're going to make so I've got this birdhouse that I picked up at Pop Shelf. It's very simple. It's plain. It's just it doesn't have anything raised or anything intricate on it. There's no pattern. The top is stained a yellow color and then the rest is just nice and neutral. So to me it's screaming and begging for something. So I went and looked in all of my napkins and I found two napkins that we're going to use. Um to decorate this with a little bit. And then I think I'm also going to use the little candle stick that we picked up from Pop Shelf as well that I got for a dollar fifty. And I think we're going to put them together and do this type of a thing. So so I think this is going to be really cute. Alright so when you hop on say hey and let me know you're watching. That's got the sunflowers and then it's got this blue and white plaid. Yeah. So we're going to start with the blue and white plaid. And we're going to cut just the plaid off, okay? And I want to put the plaid around the bottom of our birdhouse. And then I think I'm going to put the sunflower on the roof. I think. Okay. So I just cut that out. And let's go ahead and separate it. I'm not sure if I'm going to need Okay, I'm definitely going to need both pieces. This is only going to do two sides. See if we can get this separated. This has lots of layers it looks like. It's like it's got three layers. Okay. Alright. So we're going to just put this right here on the bottom of our birdhouse. I think I'm going to start over here just because it's going to be the easiest. So we'll start over here. Just use some Mod Podge. And I'm also going to get some plastic wrap just to make it a little easier. Rub it out. Okay. Hello Malia. Hey Annie. Hi Joan. Hey Sandra. Okay. So I'm just going to get some Mod Podge down here on the bottom. Just going to go up high enough to make sure that we get all of the napkin glued on Okay. There we go. Alright y'all. Thank you Deborah for the stars. So we'll just lay this on. And then I'm just going to take a piece of plastic wrap. Lay it over top. And then I can just rub this out a little easier. By having the plastic wrap on there. Okay. Alright, there we go. So, let's just sand off the excess I don't think I'm going to do the back. I think I'm just going to do the front and the sides. Sand off the excess on the bottom as well. Okay. Alright. So, there's one side. Now let's see if we can do the front. For the front, we've got the little thing in the way. I'm actually going to see. Let me see if I can't pull that out and then, we can just put it right back Just going to wiggle it and try and get it out. Yeah there we go. Okay that'll make it a little easier for us. And then we can just replace it after we've finished decorating it. Alrighty. This is looking cute already. Aw thank you Amy. Okay. It's looking awfully cute, cute, cute. Alright, y'all. I'm going to go ahead and dry this side so that I can flip it around and do this other side. But I love how that looks. Oh Amy he loved it. He sure did love it. When you rode the bus, when you went to the zoo, Alright y'all. That's looking so cute. Yes, Jackie says she just got her chambray papers. That's awesome. This actually does kind of remind me of chambray. Alright, so let's cut another piece so we can get the other side. The birdhouse came from Pop Shelf. And I don't know where the napkin came from. Okay. Alrighty, last side. This Mod Podge is matte. I pretty much always use the matte. I'll be honest. I like I like the matte because I like to be able to control the shine. I don't generally like when I'm using Mod Podge for it to be shiny. So I pretty much always use matte. We'll just sand this off. And then like I said I don't think I'm going to do the back. What do y'all think? Should I do the back? Let's see. Do I have enough? Yeah I've got enough. But we'll just do it. Whatever. You know. Might as well. Might as well. Oh yeah, Terry. There are so many things you can do with them. I think they're so pretty just used in decorations. Especially around this time of year, spring and summer. Alright. Okay y'all. We got it. Oopsie daisy. Alright. So, that part is done but I'm not done yet with the bottom. I want to do something else. So, that's what it looks like so far. Look how cute that is. It already just adds a little something extra to it. So, I've also got this napkin, okay? And I want to take this green part on the bottom and put it across the bottom of the birdhouse as well, okay? Let me actually, let me dry it really quick. Okay. So, I'm just going to cut out this green stripe. And I'm actually cutting it right up against the the green. I think it might be easier to do this a different way. I can't decide if I should do it this way or if I should use the cutter. Let me try the cutter and see. Of course it probably won't fit in here. See here. Let's try it. We'll see. I don't know if it's going to work or not. Okay. Oh yeah, that did work. Alright. So then, let me just scoot this down. Alright, so that's that piece. I think the rest I'm just going to cut. It's a little easier to cut it now. Alright, so this piece I want to put, I'm thinking on the bottom We're still going to need another one but let's see how it looks. Do I want to put it on up here or do I want to put it down here? I think I'm going to do it down on the bottom. What baby? Griffin, I have answered that at least 10 times today, okay? Alright y'all. I can't get this can't get this one separated. I'm so close. Come on. There we go. That one did not want to separate. Okay. So I think I'm going to put it right down here at the bottom. So let's just start over here. Just put down a little bit of Mod Podge. Okay. Glue that down. Alright and because this is angled, it's not going to wrap around right so I'm just going to go ahead and remove it and then just start again and try and just line it up. So that it looks like it's just going all the way around. Okay. So, look at that. Ain't that cute? Alright, let's do. We need to cut another piece. I'm running out here of coming out of it. So what I'm doing in order to make this work is I'm kind of scrunching up one side of it and just doing just part of it first And then just pulling it back and stretching it out so I can get the other half. Last but not least. Sticking to me. Good grief. Okay. Here we go. Alright. There we have it. Yes, you definitely would want to put some sort of sealer on it before you put it outside. Mod Podge makes an exterior so you could use that or you could just use like an exterior varnish or something like that. Alright, so that's where we're at right now. Let's grab our sunflower. I'm just going to use one for now. I don't know if I'm going to do I don't know yet. Let's do the whole paint pen thing though. Let me see if I can find a paint pen. Or maybe I'll just do a paint brush. I think I'm just going to do a paint brush actually. Okay so y'all are trying to get me to do this a while back. I think I'm going to do it on here. So I'm going to use a small little brush and some water. And I'm just going to go along the edge of my flower. And then I'm just going to end up tearing right where the water is just very gently. I think I was supposed to separate it first though and I didn't do that so we'll see. We'll see if it works out. So you just kind of use your brush and just paint it around the flower and then just gently tear it away. Okay and this is so that you don't have a sharp line. Alright. Let's see. I don't know where I'm going to put this actually. Guess we'll find out after we're done with this part. I still don't know what I think about this. If I like it or not. The bottom is a napkin. It's napkin on the bottom. Alright, we're almost there. Okay, here we go. I think this is it. Alright. So, I'm thinking I was thinking I'd put this on the top but I think I'm going to put it on the front. I think that's pretty cute on the front. So I think we'll do that. Cynthia thank you for the stars. So let's see. I've still gotta separate it. Let me do that. Okay. See how do I want it? I think I'm going to do it like that. So let's get some Mod Podge on here just right on the front. Okay. Layer of sunflower on here. Alright and then it's going to fold over just slightly. So I'm going to put a little Mod Podge over on this side and just fold the flower over. And I think I'm going to go over it as well just to make sure it's laid down really well. Alright. Okay. So, here's what it looks like. Isn't that pretty? That's really pretty. Alright, I'm going to dry this. And I'm going to get a little bit of sandpaper just to sand off this excess in this whole Okay. There we go. Look how cute. Alright so I'm going to grab our little perch and we're going to put that back in. So I'm just going to push it through. To remove the the stuff that's over top of it and then, grab a little hot blue gun and a hammer There's already some glue from the like the Mod Podge that's in the hole but we'll just go ahead and add a little extra hot glue and I hammered it too far. Okay, there we go. Alright. So, there's our little perch. Back on. I think it needs to be pulled out a little further though. Okay. Alright. We're getting there. We're getting there. Alright so let's see here what else we want to do I was thinking so I was thinking about putting it onto our little candle stick that we purchased from and I I'm definitely going to do that because look how cute that is so in order to do that I think I'm just going to have to just glue it with some gorilla glue. So, but I wanted to kind of see if there was anything else I wanted to do to it before I glued it. That way, I could just glue it and leave it. So, let's just sit it on here and I was kind of thinking about putting some floral on the top. I don't know for sure but I'm going to see what it looks like. So, we're going to we're going to try it out and just kind of see how it how it looks. So I've got these right here came from Walmart y'all and they were a dollar ninety-eight I think. They were very inexpensive. 499 cents. I can't remember which one. And then this is just some This is just some greenery and then these are little blue flowers. So these colors would be really pretty with this. And so I was thinking about Just grabbing some of this greenery. And kind of putting it on the top Let's see. Almost like a floral arrangement except not. So, let's see. We're going to start with the greenery. What are we thinking? Does that is that looking cute or not? And then we can do some of these. Cuz they're just really super fun. And then some of this these little flowers. Tossed in there. Okay. But then what do what do we do on the top? Or or should we Alright, let's see. Hang on. Let me see if I have any Styrofoam. I really should have brought some home with me from the storage unit. If I didn't, Here's a little piece of Styrofoam. Let's just see here. I'm going to push this Alright, that ain't working the way I want it to. So, let me cut that out a little. So a bird would be cute sitting on the top. I don't have one that's going to be big enough though. I've got some little ones but I don't have any big ones. If I do Maybe like that. Alright, I'm going to glue this down. We're going with it. Hopefully, we can make this work. Just going to glue this styrofoam right on the top here. Theresa, thank you for the stars. I only have a little a little bird and I don't know where what I did with it. Um I only had some little cardinals and they're only about like this. And I think it's going to be too small. Okay. So, let's see here. Let's grab our greenery and just start kind of putting it in to our floral foam. We can also, maybe that's what, hang on. Let's do this. Let's grab some Spanish moss first. That's what we need to do. Grab some Spanish moss and we'll cover our floral foam in Spanish moss. Hopefully we don't ruin it. Make it look ugly. So I'm just kind of molding it around the Styrofoam. Put some star or some hot glue on there. Okay. Alright. So now let's just start getting our greenery in here. Hopefully this will look cute. We'll see. Some more little pieces and stick those in. Just to fill in little bit. Okay. So then let's go ahead. We may still fill in some more but I'm going to go ahead and add our little yellow balls. Okay. And then we've got our little blue flowers. Kinda bring in all the colors. Hello Mary Lou from Iowa. Alright y'all let me see here. This doesn't look stupid does it? I really can't I can't decide if I like it or not. Let's see. Let's grab some more greenery. Fill in a little bit more. Oh wow. I didn't even know we had a stars party going on. Thank you all. Okay, I think we need just a little bit more right up here at the top. Okay. I think we need some more flowers up here. So let's see. Grab just this little bit. Just get some smaller little bunches of flowers going in here. Okay so do someone said another of the yellow flower I kind of wish I had done it kind of on the side instead of on the top. Alright, let me stick this other yellow flower in here. I think that actually needs to be. Uh oh. I lost the stem. Lost the stem y'all. Let me try that again. I think I'm going to stick it actually up here in the top. Alright. Um let's see. Trying to decide if it needs something else. I'm going to grab some of these ferns. From the Dollar Tree and stick them up underneath on the bottom. Just to kind of fill in a little towards the bottom. The same thing over here. Okay, so I just put those sperms just kind of down on the bottom. Our little hanger is still in here. Let me kind of adjust a little bit so we can get it coming right up in the middle. Okay. Alright y'all. Okay, here's what else I'm going to do. I'm going to do something else. I'm going to do some more Spanish moss and I think I'm going to just get it right up underneath a little bit and kind of cover up the top with a little bit more Spanish moss. See how just kind of filling in a little So, just sticking it up underneath Okay and I'm also going to add some Spanish moss inside the hole. Just going to glue it right there on the inside. So, it's just kind of spilling out It's looking really cute y'all. Let's see here. Trying to decide if it needs anything else. Alright, let's just see about Maybe a bow of some kind. I don't know. Maybe Let's just see here. Okay, that's really cute. Alright, so I'm going to use this stuff from Hobby, I'm sorry, Dollar Tree. Let me grab just a little piece of jute. Just tie this together. Alright and I'm putting this up towards the front right where the hanger is. Just kind of turning it a little bit. Just kind of nestling it in there. Amy, I am not sure. We are supposed to go to the fair tonight. The county fair is in town. And we're supposed to go as long as the weather holds out for us. That is so cute, okay? I'm saying that is just so cute. A bird would be really cute but I don't want to do a red bird and I just don't have the right one. I really have got to get some birds. Mom just texted and asked if I want anything for Hobby Lobby. I'll tell her that. I need some birds. Okay. Alright, so look how stinking adorable. Oh my word. Totally just took it over the edge. Okay. So then, we're going to glue this baby on here. Look how adorable that is. Oh my gosh. I am loving it. Alright. So, let me grab my gorilla glue. And Let's get some gorilla glue on here. So I'm going to so I got this little candlestick I pop shelf. It was $1 dollarfifty y'all. It was regular $5, which is a little pricey I think for this. But it was on clearance for $1 dollar fifty. So I'm putting the Gorilla Glue just right onto the tops here. The highest points. Alright. Um trying to think I could put anything in the bottom and what would it be? I know what it would be. Let me grab I'm going to grab a couple of these blocks. Be too tall. Okay, here we go. A block and a Jenga block. A Dollar Tree Jenga block. Hopefully that'll work. Okay. Hopefully that'll work. Otherwise we'll have to take it apart. That's not going to work. It's not going to work. It's a little too high. Darn. Let's do Let's just build it up with some scrap pieces of popsicle stick. To where the right level. I think I'm going to go one more. Alright, hot glue up there. Let's try this again. Shoot. Nope. Y'all that was one layer too much. Making a mess. Okay, let's try it again. We're just going to keep going till we get it right. Probably should have tested that out before I glued this thing on. Alright, let's see here. Flip this over so I can Make sure it's centered. Alright y'all and I'm just going to leave it. Okay? I'm just going to leave it sitting here and hopefully hopefully it will Hopefully it'll work. We'll see. But this turned out so stinking cute. Look how adorable that is. I am loving it. Loving it. Loving it. Loving it. It's way cuter than I thought it would be. So here's what we did y'all. This was a $5 birdhouse from Pop Shelf. It was plain Jane. Okay. Plain Jane y'all. It had nothing on it except for a yellow roof. That's all. So we used some napkins and decorated the outside of our birdhouse. So we used different napkins, okay? One of them had the sunflowers and the blue plaid and then the other one had the stripe and we just added the stripe and then we put the sunflower on the front. Then for the top, we just did some moss, some styrofoam, some greenery. We added in our cute little yellow yellow little ballflowers, whatever you want to call them things. Some little blue flowers just to tie all the colors together. Those were just pieces of things that I just had laying around, okay? They were just in my scraps of greenery and florals. So, the auction is going to be next week y'all. It's going to be next Wednesday, okay? So, put that on your schedule next Wednesday. It'll be at eight think 8 PM correct me if I'm wrong Tricia but I'm thinking 8 PM Eastern Standard Time okay I will make the official announcement this weekend but it will be next week okay so be ready for that save your money because it'll be next week alright y'all that's the plan at least for now so who knows you haven't gone through and picked out all the things yet so I don't know yet what will be in the auction but anyway so it'll be 8 PM Eastern Time okay Eastern Time y'all I hope that you all have a very wonderful weekend you might actually see me tomorrow morning okay I might come live tomorrow morning.
