6 January in Bulgaria is called Jordanovden. It is a Bulgarian tradition man to get in to the cold water of Tundzha river which passes near the town of Elhovo. Now people do it all over the country depending on having a river or the sea nearby. People believe that this will make all people healthier during the New Year. Part of the celebrations is man to catch the cross dropped by the priest in the water.
