How to make string from nettles
You may want to use gloves when removing the nettle leaves, but these plants had been picked a few hours earlier and had lost some of their sting. I don't mind the slight buzzing feeling they give. The dry strands are absolutely fine to handle with bare hands. You can also make string from many different plants. The preparation will be different, but the process of twisting the strands together will be the same.
