The lyrics in Wake Today paint a bleak picture, forecasting a dystopian tomorrow brought on by right wing extremism.
It was written prior to Project 2025 becoming talking point on the most recent campaign trail. If we continue to turn the other cheek when it comes to exclusionary social politics, it will only serve to separate us from each other.
We should be standing ten toes down with those who are under the boots of our would-be fascist regime. It’s a song that forcefully addresses the existential crisis we find ourselves in.
