Wong Sze Ming

Dr. Wong Sze Ming is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon of Malaysia with over two decades of rich experience in his field of specialization. His particular interest lies in performing minimally invasive surgery, and he has successfully treated many patients using the technique.
 
In 1988, he received his MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree from University of Science, Malaysia. Later he acquired his Master's in General Surgery from the University of Malaya. 
 
Dr. Wong Sze Ming is highly trained in colorectal surgery and has completed various fellowships in Colorectal Surgery. He did his fellowship with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. Later, he also completed Fellowships in Colorectal Surgery at the Fremantle Hospital, Western Australia, and Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, Korea, and dealt with a large number of colorectal cancer cases treating them laparoscopically. In 2005, he also obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
 
During his professional career, he practiced in many major hospitals of the country, including Kajang, Seremban, and Selayang. Before his association with Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, he worked at Selayang Hospital from 2010 to 2014. He gained immense expertise in performing appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair surgeries, hemorrhoidoplasty, Total mesorectal excision, and Ultralow Anterior Resection for low rectal cancer, etc.

Wong Sze Ming has done extensive research work as well and is an author of many articles in national and international scientific journals. In addition to this, he provides training courses related to laparoscopic hernia repair and colorectal cancer surgery in workshops utilizing his diverse knowledge.
