Adam Paul Scott[1] (lahir 3 April 1973)[2] adalah aktor, komedian, produser dan podcaster asal Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal karena perannya sebagai Ben Wyatt dalam sitkom NBC, Parks and Recreation di mana ia dinominasikan untuk Critics Choice Television Award untuk Aktor Terbaik dalam Serial Komedi pada tahun 2013. Ia juga muncul sebagai Derek dalam film Step Brothers, Johnny Meyer di The Aviator, Henry Pollard di sitkom Starz, Party Down, Ed Mackenzie di seri HBO, Big Little Lies, Adam Yates Jr di Hot Tub Time Machine 2, dan Trevor di seri NBC, The Good Place. [sunting | sunting sumber]Scott lahir di Santa Cruz, California,[3] putra dari Anne (lahir Quartararo)[3] dan Simon Dougald Scott,[4] keduanya adalah pensiunan guru.[5][6] Ia seperempat keturunan Sisilia, di pihak ibunya.[7] Ia memiliki dua kakak laki-laki, Shannon dan David.[5] Ia lulus dari Harbor High School[8] dan Akademi Seni Drama Amerika di Los Angeles, California.[9]
Kehidupan pribadi

Scott adalah penggemar "gila" dari band R.E.M.[10] Pada tahun 1992, ia muncul sebagai tambahan dalam video musik untuk lagu mereka "Drive".[11]
Saat tampil di Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Scott mengungkapkan dia mengundang aktor Mark Hamill ke ulang tahunnya ketika ia kelas dua. Pembawa acara tamu, Kristen Bell mengejutkan Scott dengan kedatangan Hamill yang menggunakan lightsaber untuk merayakan Star Wars Day.[12]
