When you don’t like your new sewing project…

If this is you, you’re not alone! 😅 It’s just the worst when you’ve put so much effort into a new sewing project and then you try it on and it just isn’t YOU! This is what happened when I made an organza Willow dress. Fabric choice is EVERYTHING! It will make or break a sewing pattern and in this case, it broke it. Now I’m not completely done with the idea of an organza Willow but I think it might be better suited to the top version and a better quality organza 🤌🏼 I’m a sensitive soul ✨ I cut labels out of everything because I hate the itch and this fabric was so scratchy, I immediately wanted to rip it off 😆 and I could have done because the seam slippage was TERRIBLE! 🤣 So don’t feel too bad if you’re a beginner sewist and your project isn’t quite as you’d hoped. I managed to pull together a very last minute sequined dress! 💜 (and yes, my face actually looks like this when sewing sequined fabric 🤣) I was invited to a hen do and the theme was sparkles ✨ my clothes are not sparkly and I don’t do sequins 😂 BUT, I thought I’d try something new! I used my coming-soon top sewing pattern Fearne as a base and hacked it into a dress 🤩 How did I do? ☺️💜
