Samantha Hermann on Instagram: "If you haven’t made this yet — here’s your sign! The CUTEST quick diy plant hanger with ONE KNOT! Who remembers when I did this and my plant of choice was a bunny ear cactus 💀 😂 I definitely learned my lesson and used a less prickly plant — a variegated hoya heuschikleana. It was a much more pleasant experience 🤪 Moving on! You could use basically any cord your heart desires! Here I’m just using cotton rope. I did 6’ length (roughly) and it gave me a hanger this long, so if you want it to hang down further consider doubling the cord length. The cute pot is my own creation that IC3D printing brought to life for me and I could not love it more! It has TONS of drainage to dramatically decrease the chance of root rot. Maison & Garden on Instagram: "Did you know this?! 🤫 The reason why your potted plants don’t thrive as they should is probably because you are choosing the WRONG planter! 🪴 Using the wrong planter can lead to disaster - from root bound plants to waterlogged soil. 👉 For example, some plants require good drainage, while others thrive in moist conditions. Using a planter that’s not designed for your plant’s needs can cause them to struggle or even die. 👏 Here are some tips to keep in mind when selecting planters: 🌿 For plants that like good drainage: Choose planters with holes or a trellis system to prevent waterlogged soil. 🌿 For plants that prefer moist conditions: Opt for planters with no holes or a saucer to catch excess water. 🌿 For plants that like full sun: Select plan

Amy Powers on Instagram: "There are many different varieties of red twig dogwood that I use in clients yards all the time! I use this as a fast growing privacy shrub or as a quick way to cover a fence or an ugly utility pole you don’t want to look at. This one is available at Home Depot for $30 each. It is called Bergeson Compact and it gets 4 to 6 feet wide and 4 to 6 feet tall. It prefers full sun to partial shade it is hard zones three through seven and prefers some level of moisture in the soil. It can handle occasional flooding as well. it’s a great native shrub that feeds pollinators is a host plant for butterflies and moths and the drupes/berries feed birds and other mammals. rejuvenation pruning should be done once the plant is established after three years, and the thickest old
