They have tendrils, so grab onto the string as they grow, but they’ll be a lot more tidy if you wrap them around the string about once a week and add occasional clips every couple feet. This technique makes it very easy to see when fruits are ready to harvest, so you end up with more fruit, picked at the right size for the best flavor and texture. . . . #cucumbers #verticalgarden #trellis #gardentrellis | Seattle Urban Farm Company | Facebook
1.6M views · 47K reactions | Here’s a smarter way to harvest tomatoes! 🍅 You don’t have to wait until they’re fully vine-ripe—picking them at the breaker stage (about 50% ripe) locks in flavor while extending their shelf life. Plus, pests are far less attracted to them at this stage, meaning you’ll save more of your crop! Pro tip: Store your tomatoes upside down to keep them fresh even longer. A simple trick for a longer-lasting harvest! 🔄🍅 | All About Gardening | Facebook

262K views · 3.2K reactions | MONSTER ONIONS - Last year, I grew the biggest onions of my life - and I’ll beat that this year with this trick! Start by getting your tools: onion starts, a trowel, gloves, and a slow-release organic fertilizer that’s high in nitrogen and phosphorus (the NP of NPK). The phosphorus promotes healthy bulb development while the nitrogen produces leaves. Each leaf stalk adds one layer to the eventual bulb! Measure 8” from the side of your raised bed, then make a 4” wide trench, with another 8” of space for onions on the other side of the trench. Add fertilizer to the trench between onion rows, then cover with soil. Then, lay your onions out on either side of the trench, spaced about 6” apart. Plant them 1” deep, 3” from the side of the trench, and 6” apart - this
