Not to be confused with the magazine, Sukeban, that shares the same name, Sukeban is a style that has become a popular stereotype in anime and manga, and is known as the style of girl gangs from the 1960s to the 1980s. The style is focused on schoolgirl uniforms with a rebel twist. Sukeban (スケバン/女番/スケ番) translates to "delinquent girl" or "boss girl" in Japanese.
