Wood and natural leather work best in dry weather, when exposed to moisture they will stretch a lot. The wood is a fragile material so watch out for knocking it onto edges and such as it might chip - if it does it should be easy to glue it back on. Another great tip is to use sandpaper to remove marks and dirt.
