Brinley Mill House, 7 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755 - Historic Oakhurst - http://ow.ly/iJ8X3037LmY The "Millhouse", located at 7 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, was originally built in the 1700’s as a home for the local miller, William Brinley, and his family and was immediately across the street from the Brinley Grist Mill. The various mill owners continued to use it as a home. In the early 1900’s, it was purchased by Frederick Frelinghuysen and made part of his eatate. Mr. Frelinghuysen's children decided to live in the Millhouse, and expanded it to include a new wing and the 3rd floor. After it was sold by the Frelinghuysen’s in the 1950’s, it was an antique store, rooming house, and is now a private residence.
