My husband (who likes beige) had a meltdown yesterday when he realized that most of the condo walls will soon be variations on a theme of deep blue. Compromise is warranted! Hmmm...

The upstairs colors stay as designed; the downstairs entrance (which has naturally low light conditions) now will transition from blue (Smoke) to a bright gray white (Gray Mist). Harmony has returned to our home...

It has been chaos here since early March—multiple construction projects that resulted from the effects of hurricane Irma, 2018. Workers sharing our living spaces; all of our furnishings piled under plastic; dirt, dust... Now, FINALLY THE PAINTING IS FINISHED and we can begin the fun part!
Time to dig out from all of this and to get busy creating order, some design continuity, and lots of new, new, new! Our setting is so changed (new paint really does create a different stage set). Lots of curating—our storage area is rapidly filling up. Lots to do before I can visually record our progress...

Progress! It’s starting to come together and feel like home. And, eclectic is my design preference. Although I appreciate a more singular approach, I like to mix and match all the bits of my life, then tie it together into a beautiful whole!
