To display all of our half marathon finisher medals we modified a 52" floating shelf from Home Depot. To modify we added a curtain rod (purchased from Target for $5) by screwing it into the bottom of the shelf and reinforcing with Gorilla Glue. We installed the shelf on the wall as per the instructions provided and then strung our medals on the rod.
