Believe it or not, that gorgeous shape on the left was about to go into the scrap pile. These were the discarded edges I cut off some ravioli. Just before bundling up to re-sheet (that's what I do with most of the scraps, btw, so they're not wasted), I noticed what pretty little trimmings they were, & wrapped them around dowels until dry. So I guess it's true that one man's trash is another (really lucky) man's dinner. Also, sometimes I wish we still had rotary phones with cords like these 😜.
We had to cull some grape leaves from our vines in order to promote fruit growth, so naturally I turned those leaves into pasta, just to see what groovy shade of green I'd get. I'm loving the color result, & the flavor is not too shabby, either. Nutty, slightly tangy, with faint lemony undertones, this pasta would be excellent dressed in a light citrus sauce.
