MUG Shots and CUPS

MUGS and CUPS are among the most used and most intimate of ceramic objects. Rarely held at more than an arm’s length away, they are used daily – touched and caressed in use by both the hands which hold them and the lips to which they’re raised, repeatedly. How many common objects can boast such intimacy? As a maker & mentor of all things clay, cups have always taunted my sensibilities, expanded my notions and intrigued my imagination.
