Kyra makes an easy no bake lime jello salad with cottage cheese that was inspired by her aunt. | By Kyra Dawn | I just poured my small box of lime jello into my 16 ounces of cottage cheese. I'm bringing in a large bowl. I'm going to dump all of this directly into the bowl. That lime jello smells so good. I have 20 ounces of really well drained crushed pineapple going right in there. As well as a 15 ounce can of really well drained mandarin orange and I reserve five of these mandarin oranges for later. Now, we're just going to take back our spatula and we're just going to mix everything together right in our large bowl. So, this is going to be a twist on a super easy and delicious dessert that my aunt taught me. She usually uses orange jello for this or peach jello but I saw a lot of you in the comments saying I need to try it with lime jello and I thought that was really good idea because lime jello is absolutely delicious. So, just get that fully combined just like this til your jello is nice and dissolved. Beautiful. Okay. Now, we get to add one of my favorite ingredients. Eight ounces of Thawed Cool Whip. You get that all out right in there. You can use your spatula to give a little bit of extra help here. Wanna get all of that out because I love Cool Whip. You can make your own whipped cream if you like. But using Cool Whip just makes the dessert so much easier. Helps it go so much faster. So I just like to use Cool Whip. Let me know in the comments. Do you love Cool Whip? Or do you hate Cool Whip? Cuz I know people are very divided when it comes to Cool Whip. So you just want to make sure you fold this in nice and gently. You don't really want to mix it too much. Or else your cool whip will deflate. And we don't want that to happen. Okay that is looking really good. But I'm going to add a little extra thing. I have my fruity fun mini marshmallows. You can also use the white marshmallows if you prefer. My aunt doesn't usually add these but I'm adding them for a little bit of my own flare. Little bit of fun. I think that's just going to make it so much more pretty and cute. And this part's super quick. You just kind of want to get those marshmallows in there. You can kind of just push them down in there. Crudely fold them in. Super easy. Super quick. And it's just going to add a nice little fruity fun burst of flavour Oh my gosh, it's going to taste so good with the lime jello. Don't you think so, David? Oh yeah, lime jello is my favorite. Oh, yeah. You're right. It is, huh? You're going to like this one. Mm. Tasty. Okay, I just cleaned up the sides a little bit for presentation. Gonna take those reserved mandarin oranges. Just place them in the center in a cute little star pattern. This is optional. You don't have to do but I just think it's going to make it even cuter than it already is. See? Isn't that cute? Oh yeah. I love that. But we need to add one little marachino cherry right in the center. And these are the ones with the stems. That's a little one but that's okay. We're still going to use it. It has purpose. Okay and then we're just going to bloop Right in the center. Just like that. Look at that big old stem. My gosh. That is so cute. Okay we just need to chill this in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. Oh my gosh you guys. As you can see it has been overnight. I'm wearing my Halloween shirt. We're having ambrosia on Halloween. So let's dig right in. Oh yeah it's going to be a perfect consistency. Oh my goodness. Do you see how fluffy that is? Oh my gosh. Mm. I'm going to get a big serving today. It's Halloween. Mm. Those fruity marshmallows. That is so good.
