What’s happening in the studio this week: lots of watercolor, demonstrations, and a new ranunculus painting! Summer always makes me want to paint with watercolor. I have been painting roses purely for fun lately, which is a huge change of pace from all of the classes I’ve been teaching lately. It’s nice to slow down and focus on enjoying my subject and the quirks of this tricky medium. Watercolor has such a different pace and attitude compared to oils.
